Minnesota wrx's?

Just played 36 at TCI. Payed $45 plus $35 for replay. For that price, great value, great value. Greens were perfect to my surprise. I was told they had to close earlier last year to fix the greens, and it payed. They were running at 10.5. The course itself was still draining after lot of rain last 2 days.
I would recommend 36 because that course in particular has many hidden crevasses, holes, blind creeks, etc., so it rewards course knowledge.

Twins front office must feel like they're in the Twilight Zone this first month or so of the season. 4-10" here in the Metro expected is just.........TOO MUCH. Just...too...much.

I'd like to say in a week from now we'll be able to play on slop-mud courses somewhere in the Metro, but I am too much of a pessimist.

Is NorthFork opening up this weekend? I'm looking for open courses based on this page: http://twincitiesgol...n-in-minnesota/
They haven't officially said it yet, but I'm guessing the decision will come through this morning. They let members grab some tee times earlier this week based off the forecast and made sure we knew it was weather permitting. With it sunny and getting warmer every day through the weekend I'm pretty sure they will open. No word on carts/walking yet though.

Excellent! I'll keep my eyes open. I was hoping to start the year at either Territory, Elk River, Pebble or Northfork. Right now i'm planning on heading down to Greenhaven unless something closer opens.

Thanks for the info!

Northfork is officially taking tee times now for the weekend. Looks like walking only, but they will be open.

Just played there today. Course was surprisingly in good shape considering that we just had snow less than a week ago.

Maybe we ought to move the Jewel gathering back?

And I am actually flying SD this weekend for an interview on Monday.
Theres a real possibility we are outta here.
And Joe, not sure how much time you've spent in San Diego, but my sister in-law lives in Cardiff By The Sea, just north of Torrey and it is spectacular.
I've been in MN for most of 50 yrs, yeah, I could do with visiting winter, rather than surviving it.
Cali homes are getting wiped out by firestorms right now (which seems to happen quite regularly) and Nevada and AZ both have similar issues. Not to mention people were locked IN their houses for a couple months in AZ it was so scorchingly hot, like...last year(?).

So really it's all relative. We only had a few months last year we really couldn't golf, and some us could get to friends in Colorado or further for some golf. Not to mention I like cold weather (healthier - keeps crime down as well, which has been proven factually) and I've played hockey my whole life and I like cross country so I get out a bit. The real problem I have is the mud (salt) which seems to wreak havoc on my cars even though I maintain them religiously and maybe a month where you really just don't want to be out it's so cold.

Spring time in MN is like no place in America we're so pumped which is probably why we have more boaters per capita and I believe our state is in the top in the country for golfers as well. So again, it's all relative.

Hopefully all goes ok on the 18th and more events can be scheduled. I am now in Brainerd, and is funny seeing how the golf bug is biting Mn people. In a day with freezing drizzle, just because will be better (playable) than other places from Mn, the courses are packed! It doesn't matter the feeling will be mid 30s.
