Does anyone want to get together in February sometime at inside edge? Just to knock em around? Then weather pending we should get something together for a day trip to TCI if the snow melts down in Iowa faster than it does up here.

Speaking of Hockey. Nephews have games this weekend so I'm chauffeuring my mom down to Chaska for the weekend. Gives me an excuse to go hit some balls at Inside Edge or the Golf Zone sometime Saturday afternoon or evening. If I can get the Brother Inlaw out of the house.

I've read that a third of golfers in Canuckistan play golf left handed, and it's attributed to the hockey influence. Makes sense that would apply in some part to Minnesota, as well.

My wife and I a strongly considering moving. As you can imagine, my preference is for a home on the course. I teach in the Spring Lake Park school district (which encompasses the TPC) so it is one of my first choices. What are membership costs? Discount for being part of the "association"? Any other areas/courses that allow easy access to downtown Minneapolis?

I'm in. I used to work at Inside Edge so I can talk to the boss and see what kind of rate we can get

I'd come down. Probably be down anyhow with my Mom for the nephews hockey I thiInk we only missed one weekend In February last winter. Iowa trip sounds good for March since I'm not going to Bella Vista Arkansas this year.

We need to book 9 hrs total in order to get a discount and that's weekdays only except in special circumstances. I'd like to do some sort of Ryder Cup style event or a mini 4 9 hole round tournament if everyone is up for either. It takes around an hour per person for 18 holes so if we get at least 8 people we will be able to book enough to get a discount.

It would be great to get and meet some of you folks. We are selling/buying a house and have a baby on the way but I will do my absolute best to make it out. I have every Thursday off from work, otherwise I could be there around 6:30 pm.

As an aside, I'm thinking of doing the 5 hours unlimited balls for $69 at MN Golf Academy deal on Groupon. What do you guys say, worth it? I've never been before but it sounds nice. How far is the range?

If I was living closer to MN Golf Academy I would be a member in winter. Hopefully their expansion plans will bring them to the eastern suburbs. You gotta go to see the whole facilities, putting, chipping, trackman, etc.

Weekdays wont work so well for those of us out of the metro area, some of us do work, but if it's on a weekend I'm all over it!

Yeah I know, was just relaying what I was told. I think if we get enough people we could get discounted time. Otherwise its still not too expensive

Congrats on the house hunt! Great time to buy, low rates and prices... I'm a realtor myself and was showing homes this AM.

I'm actually doing one of MNGA's coaching programs and am really impressed so far. The facilities are nice if not basic. The range isn't long, but you can see initial flight pretty well. They have alignment aides on the wall that help too.

Hope you enjoy it.

I'd also be down for the Inside Edge day, if you guys are cool with a newcomer who isn't any good!
