Minnesota wrx's?

Twin Cities golf website has a list of open courses and dates of any that have reported it. Looks like 2 open as of yesterday and a couple more tomorrow. I think the closest to the cities was New Prague.

I hit some 8i's into my back yard yesterday, it felt great and can't wait to get on the course!

I've heard the front 9 at Northfork may open for this weekend, going up there to hit some balls in the basement today so I'll ask again.

Does Northfork have a simulator setup like Bunker Hills? Or is it more for lessons etc? I have been going to Bunker quite a bit this winter but Northfork would be quite a bit closer to me.
No simulator, just some mats and a net in the basement. I can hit hybrid on down and not hit the ceiling, but some taller guys are irons only. Driver would probably be ok, but I don't want to chance it. We've tried talking them in to a simulator for years, but they just don't have high enough ceiling to put in the basement and they use the banquet room for too many wedding to take up the space there. I'm just trying to groove some swing changes so it works in a pinch.

On a side note they are hoping to be open for this weekend, but not taking any tee times yet. Also a possibility they would take walk-ins Friday, but that's probably not going to be decided until Thurs night or Fri morning.

Have them check out the design I did for the sims at Bulrush. We wend down in the concrete two feet to create the height for the sims and created a bowling alley feel to the place. It turned out really well. The pics on the website are not good and I'm not up there anymore but its worth going to take a look and get some good pics of it means getting some built at Northfolk

Rich Valley. Shot a 40 today with 13 putts and a double. Considering how windy it was I am very happy. Sure beats a 51 that's for sure! Also Highland National and Phalen opened today.

Played a quick 9 after work today. No place fancy, just Braemar executive. Shot a 6 over, not bad considering the greens were like putting on carpet. Good thing for me is I have been putting on carpet all winter long. It was just nice to be outside golfing, regardless of course conditions.

Played eagle valley today. Front 9. Amazingly good greens after this winter.
Also played Oakmarsh yesterday, the course is very playable now, same Oakmarsh always a bit wet. Wanted to play 18 but took 2:40 to turn, as the course was full. Later learned they got 290 golfers yesterday, good for them!

Got in my first round earlier, yay me.

Doubled the first hole. Doubled the second hole. Didn't hit a decent iron shot until #6, when I stuck a 9 iron to 10 feet and made bird. And, I tripled #10.

And somehow shot 80. Go figure.

I was en fuego

^^^ Love the shape/look of the head at address. Haven't touched the settings on it and its going long high and straight. Definitely has potential. Had 220 carry to get home in 2 on #4 at Tanners on Friday and just hit the nicest high cut in there. Just missed the eagle. Gets up pretty quick, but good distance so far. Pretty happy so far. Liking the heavier shaft in it. Nice transition from the irons.

So I burned-up my 2nd of two personal days for the year today (I have to give 4 work days notice). The plan was to play ALL DAY.

Raining like a champ right now, but it's supposed to taper off by 11:00. Coming of my best golf in a long while Saturday morning (shot 81 (net 72) and won my flight in men's league). Pretty good for me, especially considering the 25-30 MPH winds and cold temps.

I've got a 10:00 tee-time at Maple Valley and a 2:00 at Oak Summit, and will most likely hook up with some other guys at 5:00 for 9-18 more.

Hoping for a good swing day.. If not, HECK, we're golfing in MN!!

Might get out to a local muni today for my second round of the year. The V-Foils were love at first strike. Absolutely freakin' love 'em. Irons, wedges, woods, driver and putter were all new in my WITB, so it was a trial and error deal my last outing. I need to get comfy with this stuff before I start shooting high 70s again regularly (hopefully).

Loving this weather though!
