MIzuno Iron Help

I have been looking for a new set of irons for next season. I currently play with Titliest 822. Should I go with the 17's or 23's?

Unfortunatly, I'm left handed and none of the pro shops carry these irons. So I have to order one club then try it...this can get expensive so I want to make the right choice first.

I really like the 23's. Solid iron. Not what I need in an iron, but if you're looking for something along the lines of what the 822's were, the 23's are fine.

i have the 23s and they are awesome.......i'm using this set as my secondary set...........but just a solid set of sticks.......can't get any better!

Count me in as a MX-23 vote. Great sticks.

 

Are you sure the shops around you don't have a demo/fitting iron that you could hit?

 

None of the shops I went to had them in stock, but they did have demo 6 irons to try out.

I finally found a place that has a demo club in each of these. After multiple calls I finally found the one place.

 

They recommended the 17 as the best game improvement iron but said they sell more of the 23's. The guy said it was probably due to the feel of these irons. I guess I will hit them both and decide for myself. He also recommended hitting the G5's.

i'd reccomend the mx23s over ping, you get the feel of a great forged club with the forgiveness., plus they are great looking. I do like the new Ping G series club, but for me I want to look at a classic chrome iron. Good luck.

Another vote for the 23's. Great all around sticks. Even the best golfers who hit them really think they're great sticks. They may not work as much as the pro sticks, but thats not what you're looking for if you're looking at the G sereis or 17/23.

The MX23's get the nod from me, can't beat the forged feel. But I'm a certified :cheesy: ho, currently playing the MP60's but have the 32's in ready reserve :)

You really need to test the MX-900's before you decide (if possible). I have both the MX-23's and MX-900's and the 900's are in the bag - even more forgiving and great feel. I agree the MX-23's are great, but 900's are even better for me.

I finally tried the Mizuno MP 60's yesterday at a indoor range we have here in Alaska.The ones i tried were stiff shaft,steel.They are great! I was wondering what they cost in the "lower 48".Up here they are around 8 to $900.00 for a 3 iron thru PW.Bill

 

Check some of the online retailers, you should be able to get them for around 699 to 750, just stay away from BHM Golf. :)
