Anyone hit this shaft?
Anyone playing a ProForce V2 in their driver? I have heard numerous good reviews on this shaft at the club. Thinking of putting one in my G5.

Personally, I have never hit the shaft but have heard numerous good things about it's performance and price-tag. I do know a couple of guys that have this shaft in their driver and they absolutley love it. Personally, I think the shaft will be a great combo with your G5.

As usual, before you decide to buy and install, see if you can find one to test out.

Good luck,

Steve

i have had a 65 stiff in my r7 and now in my 983k. i also had a 75 stiff in a ft-3. to me it is one of the best shafts for the money. the performance is very similar to the accra sc series which i also owned the 65 and 75. it provides a flat mid trajectory which works perfectly with my 983k since it is an older higher spinning head. it feels very stable but not boardy even with the relatively low torque. if a low spin mid trajectory shaft is what you are looking for then there isn't a better deal then this shaft imo.

Update - Put a V2 65 stiff in my G5 and what an awesome combination. This shaft has to be one of the best kept secrets in the industry. Everyone keeps talking about what a good shaft it is for the price. The price is nothing but a bonus. This is one of the best shafts period !!! I have hit all shafts (Fuji's, Grafalloy's, Aldila's, etc...) with the exception of the Diamana and this shaft is every bit as good as anything out there. I'm also finding a lot of tour players are playing the shaft (ie. Adam Scott, John Huston, etc...). I would highly recommend this shaft for anyone from a 5-20 handicap. Give it a try, you won't be sorry !

Great choice to get one.. I have one in my 3 wood and will get one in my 905R when it comes out.... Both me and my local club builder believe that it plays alomst exactly like the Diamanas and the Speeder but with better value for the buck.....for the price its at theres alomst no point to getting a diaman or a speeder....ill be switching from the speeder 757 which ive had in my last 3 drivers to the V2 in my new 905 R in the spring.

I play the 86 gram version in my G5 and it is a great combo. Perfect ball flight. Not only does it perform , but it also looks sweet.

Any chance the V2 plays soft to flex? I wanted to experiment with a shorter driver, and put a 75 gram V2 in a heavier Ashton MS-5 head, such that it swingweights to D4 at 44". I was disappointed - everything goes right in a big tail fade. If I switch between it and my R510 TP with stiff 757, the difference is drastic. As long as I release with the R510, it's straight or a slight draw. Only misses go right. With the Ashton/V2, everything slices.

I have a swing speed of 110-113, but a smooth tempo, such that fitters usually recommend a stiff instead of an X flex. If the V2 is soft for flex, that might explain it. It doesn't feel near as solid either - kind of whippy. Any suggestions on how to save this driver? Thinking of letting a friend with a slightly slower swing speed try it and see how it performs.

I play the V2 86 Stiff tipped 1" in my J33 3 Wood and this is the best combination that I have tried in years. For some reason the 3 wood was always my problem child, up until the spring I used a S2H2 3 Wood with a DG S-300 in it.

Needless to say, had I not had the pleasure of working with Joe Kwok on getting the Z-Com installed into my driver, I would have looked into putting a V2 75 into it. Also thinking of trying it in a 905R when it comes out in the spring!

I have a Titleist 905s with Accra SC 75 M5 inserted 3", and a Bridgestone J33 460 with the V2 75 X tipped 1". I have always fought a very high trajectory due to a fairly steep angle at impact, but have never struggled for distance or control. Normal flight is a high draw. The V2 has brought my ballflight down quite a bit from the Accra, and I NEVER have to worry about it going left. This is probably a result of the stiffness of the shaft combined with the face angle of the driver. Both clubs are 8.5 lofts. All I can tell you is that the V2 cost me less than 1/2 the price of the Accra, and my results with the V2 are tremendously better than with the Accra. I have hit quite a few different combinations, and nothing has worked as well as the Bridgestone with the V2. On top of that, I lost no carry yardage and picked up about 10 yards of roll due to the flatter trajectory and lower spin. I don't feel the shaft plays soft to flex, but then again mine has been tipped an inch. I don't think it's possible to be disappointed if you get fit properly for the shaft.
