goals for 2005/06

1) devote more time to short game than full swing when I practice

2) pass my PAT (player ability test) required for PGA membership

3) make the women's golf team for spring 2006 (already accomplished!) :tongue:

4) become the tournament director for the tournament committee at Methodist (I think I'll be the first woman)

5) make the dean's list for spring 2006

6) maintain a 3.0+ for cumulative GPA

7) complete 18 more semester hours towards my business administration and marketing major

8) get out more and enjoy the social life of college :)

9) scoring average down to the 80s

My main goal is get my handicap down to +1. Anything over and above that is a bonus.

My only goal is to win every event I play in this summer(AJGA, State Association events) and get some real college recognition. It will be tough and near impossible, but like in the adidas commercials "impossible is nothing"

improve my iron play

hit more greens in reg

take fewer putts per round and putts per GIR

 

this should lower my handicap nicely.

When I made my previous post, I did not know that I was going to be playing in AJGA tournaments, so that totally changes my mindset for this summer. Like Platapus said, I would like to win every tournament that I enter this summer, while I know this is near impossible - the most I can do is go into every tournament with that mindset. On a more reasonable level, I would like to use this year to make a few cuts in the 4-5 AJGAs that I play in and get it my resume to a decent level where I can look at some D1 schools. While I am playing in the AJGA, I also have a very busy summer otherwise --> I have state junior tourneys, state ams, Westfield Qualifiers, and of course the State Championship. So to level everything out here's a list:

 

AJGA - Have a top-20 finish at the Medicus Rhode Island Tourney, and then make the Cut in the Qualifier in every other tournament I enter. If this happens I will have enough preformance stars to eliminate having to go through the qualifying process next year.

 

State Junior Tourneys - Win the 2-3 I play in and be in the finals for the State Championship.

 

And last of all - qualify for the Westfield Championship in Ohio through the New England Section Qualifier.

 

That should do it boys! :)

My Goals untill the end of next january are:

1) to be off scratch or better (Currently 3 been playing for a year and a half)

2) get offered membership by a good club

3) hit it further.

4) work on my fitness and eating habits.

5) win a decent Tournament

6) get selected for state squads.

 

I believe all this is acheivable because i have a great coach (Brett LeBrocque) and i am seeing improvements in my swing every week. i also work hard on the mental aspect of the game and i do 1/2 - 1 hour of visulisation a night. biggest challenge for me will be getting myself into the gym but it will be worth it in the long run.
