Found something that works

I think that I have finally found something that works as far as my mental game is concerned. Zen Golf by Joseph Parent. This is the greatest mental game golf book for me so far. I have read around half of the book and had some nice weather yesterday and decided to give it a go and I loved the results. I had one of my worst ball striking rounds this whole year and shot 72. It isn't uncommon for me to shoot in the low 70s and high 60s but this time was different. It has seem that up until now it would be struggle to shoot those good scores but now I believe that the next plateau isn't that far away. I have so much more awareness over my game now that I think that anything is possible. I did hit some shots that generally would send me off into orbit but I got angry for about 2 seconds and it was gone and it was off to the next shot. I have been looking for something that could help with my mental game for some time but now I have found it.

Zen Golf is definitely a great read. Along with being short, fast and easier then anything from Pelz. :)

I've been reading Zen Golf this winter. I hope to have improved results here this summer. I tend to play golf after work, and somedays it's tough to really get focused on golf when you've been dealing with solving problems/issues all day :cheesy: (something alcohol just can't fix fast enough!! :) ). So far, I've picked up some pretty good pointers to help me with this.

You may want to read Peak performance Golf by Patrick Cohen Ph.D It has some great pratice routines for both putting and long game. Probably the best mental read, which includes Golf is not a game of Perfect.
