Sent in for hosel, comes back sooo much better!

I recently read a post about a guy sending a putter to Tom Slighter to have a hosel added. I had a custom putter in my rack that was made for me 6 years ago by a neighbor that worked on a CNC mill. It was a cool little item, but had lost its glamour for me and hadn't been put in the bag for the past 4 years. I was chatting online with Byron Morgan, formerly of John Byron Golf, and mentioned to him this putter and its lack of a hosel. He said he would be more than happy to fix it up and send it back. I figured that it was worth trying, as it was just gathering dust, anyway. Well, check out the before and after pics. I was floored at the sweet little piece that is coming back to me. Sooooooooo much more than I ever dreamed would happen! It actually looks like it may work its way back into the rotation. It is made of 303 SS and now has a Black Mist finish, gorgeous.
Byron is an excellent craftsman and a super nice guy to deal with. Along with this putter, I also have a handmade that was done for me, by Byron, a little over a year ago. If you are seriously searching for a custom putter maker, he needs to have his name given serious consideration.

Definitely a unique putter! What does the headweight/SW spec out to?Looks very simple and understated--two very good qualities in my opinion. I am very curious to see how the black mist finish holds up on the stainless steel. Please keep us posted! :)

I am a bit curious on the SW and head weight, myself. The headweight was 335 grams, when it went in. After the shaping, lost some, and then adding the hosel, gained some. I can't wait to have it back in my hands and give it a roll.

As far as the finish, I rolled a John Byron MO-T for about a year and a half with this same finish. It didn't even show use, when I put it on the shelf. Not sure where he gets it done, but it is darned near bullet-proof.

I'll keep you all posted and we'll see what happens when it gets home.
