Guerin Rife 2 Bar Hybrid Putters

Recommended Posts

  • LieAline Fitting System allows you to adjust the putter to your natural stance instead of adjusting your setup to fit the putter -bendable up to 5°
  • Two bars provide a highly visible "railroad track" alignment that literally frames the ball
  • The Dual Response (DR) Insert features Rife's patented RollGroove face
  • Closely spaced grooves grip and hold the back side of the golf ball through the depression and into an immediate forward roll
  • DR Insert provides increased dwell time and enhanced roll, which translates to increased feel for distance control
  • Putter head weight is 345 grams w/light weights & 360 grams w/heavy weights
  • * Cast 304 stainless steel body mallet with satin finish
  • Dual In-line MOI -both bars include adjustable rear weights that provide dual-inline MOI making the Hybrid extremely stable
  • Shorter and wider bars than on the original allows for even further back weighting on each bar
  • Expands the area of forgiveness to ¾ of an inch to either side of the center of the face to virtually eliminate miss hits

Sorry about the focus!

I found it not to have very much feel for shorter putts (nine feet and in ). I therefore added 3/4 in extension a super stroke grip and installed max weight. Turned it into a sniper rifle. Great for off the green when clear approach. Longest off the green to date ~18 feet of fairway 20 + feet of green too within ~ a foot.

Now your asking what about the touch putts. Well a couple of years ago I removed a sand wedge and put a second putter in play. Best move since four wedge system for me.

Short game is Pelz PW, Pelz L and a oldie that just won't go away 60* allien!

i have the 2 bar blade and am very happy with it, but for me it has always been more about how the putter fits my eye, if i dont like the way a putter looks while im standing over it i cant seem to keep the putts on line!

i think they are on to something with the roll grooved face, it really does seem to get the ball rolling quickly. and the alignment tool you can give it a quick tune up to fit you perfectly, im very happy with the switch from my dual force 660

I sold mine, because I felt that even with the heavier weights it still had too soft of a feel for my liking. The Aussie feels great, but with the insert it felt too soft for me. I really liked the way that the ball rolled off of the face, as it immediately rolled without any skidding.

The first thing I liked about it was the face. I wasn't sure if it was plastic or what before actually holding one but it's some kind of metal with an insert behind it. I really prefered the feel to my odyysey #9 it rolled much truer and felt like a soild faced putter to me. Plus the weights give you some options and it comes with a lie adjustment tool so you can really dial it in. If I don't start getting along with my #9 soon I am gonna go pick one up.

After another miserable performance with my old putter I went looking for something "different" at my local GS. A guy I trust reccomended I try out the 2 bar (among others). I tested the center and heel shaft and ended up buying the center shaft.

Got it out for the first time today for a quick 9. Previous to the Rife my last three games had 37, 41, 44 putts. Pathetisad. Today I only hit the Rife 16 times in 9 holes. Withouta few more games under my belt I can't give it a full verdict, but my putting seems headed in the right direction now.

Putting has never been my strong point... but it definitely seemed like it the first round I used my Rife 2-bar. I got the centershafted hybrid in 35".

First round with it I didn't 3-putt once, and managed some impressive (for me) 10+ footers, inside 5' was almost a gimme on just about any lie... and managed a couple of 30'+ lags to withing 4".

I'm sold on it.

Bought one used just to see what all the hype was about. Got to say that with all the little toys thrown in, it seems like a a fun putter to toy around with. Brought it out to the practice green to roll a few and compared it with my SC futura phantom. Same ball, same putt, my SC still feels much better. I am also still a bit more confident with the SC so I can't say this one does much for me. But, my wife who was using it the first time, putts fantastic with it. She made me adjust the lie for her a few times, and she's a champ with it within 6 feet. I guess it really works for her. Which means, this is a good putter, just not my cup of tea.

I really like mine (bought it at the tail end of last season)... I wasnt putting so well then, but that was a user issue not so much equipment. I have kept the light weights in it and aligned it so that I know I am in a good position and have been putting with really good speed this season. I still need to work on my reading a bit but I have made a few long ones this season and my lag putts have been much, much better. The insert is also nice it feels good coming off, not too mushy like some of the old plastic/composite inserts.

I would give it a 9/10, good looks/performance. Havent changed the grip as it seems to suit me... Guess I will see what my coach says and that will probably screw me up for a month.

NOTE: I didnt know that there was an infomercial with this putter, but direct marketing techniques dont change that this is at least a solid offering... I dont know about that Air Force One Driver, but people seem to like the Pelz wedges though they are a bit expensive compared to other top offerings (and their infomercial is pretty cheesy)
