i know exactly what your talking about, the shoes have lost some quality, but have gained "style" points... i totally agree with you on that there are many more models/styles to choose from... i remember when the only classics you could buy were saddles or wing-tips... The wing-tips were the greatest classics ever made i have white-on-white, black-on-white, and brown-on-white classics and they are the coolest shoes! i wish they would come back out with the original wing tips... those euros look pretty cool too... i'd prolly wear them... do they come in other colors? i'd be interested in seeing how the brown/white versions look as well

The brown and whie are even better because the bown runs right through the top to the toe. Daly was sporting them last year at Harding or Vegas

Currently I am wearing Nike SP6 Tour shoes. I care more about comfort and support than anything else. I have had tendonitis in my right foot in the past and need shoes that have extra arch support so I do not have to wear aftermarket insoles. The SP6 Tours have been great so far and I have had no trouble with them. Plus, they look nice and classy. The SP7/7.5's really do not catch my eye.

I've been looking for pair of shoes for awhile now since my Adidas had split at the toe. I was actually looking for a nice Footjoy but couldn't find any color or style that really appealed to me in the stores. I happened to be shopping at Costco the other week when I came across a huge display of Bite golf shoes. I've never tried or seen them before here locally. The Bite Light shoes they had weren't particularly the nicest looking shoe but at $40 I figured they be worth a try. I slipped them on and took a stroll through the DVD section and found them to be quite comfortable with a wide toe box and soft cushioned sole. (Only true golfer's will walk in Costco with golf shoes on :) ) They had leather uppers and the usual 1 year waterproof guarantee. Needless to say, I walked out of Costco carrying a pair of them to my car.

I've worn them for two round so far and have found them to be really great shoes. They really have surprised me by their comfort level. I told my regular 4some about them and I think Russ will probably chime in about the comfort level. Not the prettiest shoe but they easily beat the Nike, Mizuno and TM shoes that I wore last year.

I've worn these shoes for 2 rounds and they are the most comfortable shoes that I have worn to date!! Even my several pairs of $100+ shoes weren't this comfortable

After 2 years of solid use, I just wore out the inside heel lining of my black Bite 'Groove' shoes  so got blisters for the first time :jester: and had to go shopping for new shoes. Would've picked up another pair of the same, but they've been discontinued in black...and I don't fancy the white ones at all. In fact, none of Bite's current styles appealed to me, so tried on a few Adidas, Hi-Tec and FootJoys, before settling on Nike SP-5's (in brown). I'll see how these fare, and go back for a black pair if I like 'em.

Still have my pair of Bite AC Slingshots for the summer: they're a mesh running-shoe style with an open back and a heel strap, like a sandal. I wear them without socks in the hot weather....perfect for letting your feet breathe in the South Carolina heat. And ultra comfortable too. IMO, Bite shoes are a hard act to follow on this last count.

I've been wearing the Adidas a-3 since last summer and the Nike SP-6 since November. I used to wear Dry Joys, but ever since the a-3, they don't feel like they give the proper support and comfort. Both the Adidas and the Nike have been excellent so far. I'm going to stick with these two, because I feel they both know how to make a shoe that gives the proper support and comfort.

So I finally purchased and received my first pair of Classic Dry Premiers and the first thing I saw was the base of the toe. their was a stich that made a smallish rip in the leather (on both shoes). I'm guessing this is normal since it was on both shoes but I just want to make sure since I just spent so much on a pair of shoes. Thanks.

I have to admit that I wore Dexter slip ons for several years. I took tremendous ribbing from my group but they were the most comfortable shoes that I have ever found and cost me around $50 each. I usually play in the early morning dew and after a handful of rounds the shoes are trashed which keeps me out of the higher end shoe market. If it is comfortable, reasonably priced and WATERPROOF I will wear it.

3 pairs of footjoy customs, all with white base, then one in greeen, one in red and one in light blue, and all of course with italian flags on the heel! I also have a pair of black and brown classics premiere, but hardly ever wear them, I like my shoes to be flashy! I also have so many pairs of shoes at home, but just grew out of them. That was kind of a waste.

I've always been a FootJoy Classic Dry Premiere sort of guy....but I recently received a couple of pairs of Nike SP-7 Tours and must say, those shoes are incredibly comfortable. You play a round in them and your feet hardly notice that you've been standing for 4+ hours. Plus, no hot spots the first couple times you wear them.

Is there anywhere that to find the ckassic dry premiers for less than $230?

I really like the white pebble grain but cannot justify spending that much on a pair of shoes

Josh

I've done a lot of business with golfequipmentcloseouts.com over the years, now its' golflocker.com . They usually have good deals on classics, pristine and factory blemishes.

I wore only classics dry and premieres for years, but fell in love with Ecco Flexor Hydromax this year. White/Black and White/Brown. If they made an all black version, I'd own them, too. Since they don't, I've held on to my pair of all black Adidas a3's. They were good shoes, too. Can't stand all white shoes, makes me feel like I'm wearing tennis shoes.

I have had so many shoes in the past....here is my current line up:

2 Pair Footjoy Classic Dry Premier - one brown and one black

Just ordered two pair of Addidas 360's all white and brown and black

Used Nike SP 6's last year for walking...very comfortable and did not hurt feet.

I have issues with my feet and when I try on a shoe I can tell if they will hurt or not so my main concern is comfort with looks a solid second.

I use the Classics on good day's with carts.

I primarily walk therefore I am going to the 360's this year...when trying them on I have never felt such a comfortable shoe. Hope they don't dissapoint on the course...from what I hear and read they won't.

I wore only classics dry and premieres for years, but fell in love with Adidas A3's last year. I own a pair of white-black, white-brown and all black. That's all I need. Hate all-white golf shoes. I haven't tried the 360's, I'm not a big fan of the colors they're available in.

I second this...they have outstanding deals on many things...I have bought 3-4 pair of classics from them. Each one was a blemish yet on two I could not figure out why and the third was a simple cosmetic flaw...hardly noticable. get on their e-mail list and they will let you know when they have new shipments. Great people to deal with.
