R510 TP or 983k

i need to come to a decision.......

Okay i own a 983k w/ a speeder 757 shaft (stiff). I've actually never played any other driver but Titleist but than yesterday i came across a R510 TP w/ a speeder 757 (stiff) and realized that this thing was a beast. I don't know if it was just the feeling of hitting a diff driver but i cant get it out of my head (kind of reminds me of that BH commercial lol). Does anyone have any input between these two drivers because im leaning towards putting the 983k aside for the TP but im not sure if im making the right choice. Thanks guys

It seems that none of the above have informed you of the differences between the 983 K and the R510 TP. First of all the 983 K and the R540DF proto or the R540XD TP (DF and TP samo) both TM and Titleist drivers are quite similar in their trajectory and spin rate. The R510 TP is a deep face, and lower spin rate driver than either the R540DF proto or the 983 K. You need to decide if the lower spin rate of the R510 TP suits your swing speed and launch angle.

 

Both the 983 K and the R510 TP are great drivers, but are suited for different swing speeds and launch angles, both drivers are quite different, you need to decide which enhances what in your driving game. Launch monitors are sometimes the more cost effective way of determining which you need. :)

Def the 510Tp. One of the best drivers ever made, even tho the k is a classic

Put one more down for the R510TP. Best driver I've ever hit. I've been trying to convince myself that a switch to an R7 would be good, but for the life of me, I really don't think I could hit the R7 any better than the R510TP. Simp

This is an easy one THE 510 DP is the best driver of all time for me. It still blows away all the others the lauch monitor for me. They are not even close. I do have the df ti on the model though

Have played the R510TP for the last year with the Speeder 757 S and think it is a great club...

I would also go with the 510TP, great driver for the $$. I sold mine in late 2004, a decision I regret often.
