Looking to change irons...any advice or suggestions???

Looking for feedback on irons

I have been hitting Mizuno MX-20 irons for a couple of years now and am looking to make a change. Bogey golf is my game, so a game improvement club is needed. I like the forged club, but that limits my options. Does anyone have any suggestions, forged or not, that I should consider?

If your swing is consistent then consider going to get fit for clubs. Once you get an idea of what your clubs should be like you can bang away on as many different irons to find the right one for you in terms of feel. You never know unless you try plenty and there are some that might be better suited for your game. Where are your weaknesses? Is it off the tee? Is your short game bad or is it your irons? There was a thread on here talking about that and the idea that you can't play forged clubs if you're a high handicapper. Identifying where your shortcomings are first may help you out in the long run.

As much as im annoyed with ping for their service even through the special depts and knowing ppl there...id have to say unfortunately that the best club out there for game improvement is either the ping I5 or the ping g5 irons. theyre very forgiving and have decent feel etc. my suggestion would be to check out ping.

in my prior experiances callaway makes great forgiving clubs

the Mizuno MX-23 seems pretty forgiving and its forged but trying out different clubs and getting one that you like the best is the way to go. after all, everyone has different tastes

I feel confident off the tee and my short game is good. The problem area is in the irons. I've had a few sets like the MX-23, Titleist 804 OS, Ping G5 and T-Made RAC LT2 among others recommended to me. I'll start there and give any other recommendations a try. Thanks for the feedback.
