Need a new driver

I want to get a new driver. Right now, i have the R7 with an aldila nvs 75-s. Im thinking about the Nike SQ tour with the diamana or i was hitting the Cleveland Comp pretty well. Any suggestions?

i'd wait a little while to try the x tour driver and the 905 R.

Get on a launch monitor and see what's best. Turn a blind eye to the brand and go with what will work. I have a Speed Series driver and the spin rate and launch angle were WAY too high for me (3900 rpm and 18*). Also, my shaft said stiff, but turns out it was actually an R flex.

I would try the 905T or 905S. They are great drivers. It depends on how good you are. The 905S is more of a deep face driver and is better for better players. I love my 905T. I don't like 905R much. I think it is to big. I have never liked TM that much. If you like big drivers wait for the 905R or try the new Callaway Fusion FT-3.

Anybody looking for a Driver should try the BRIDGESTONE J33R (420cc or 460cc). I just bought a 420cc really cheep for my backup driver, and I LOVE IT!!!

Great feel, wonderful distance, and it's very forgiving for a 420cc club. Only one problem...........it was slicing/fading on me. I believe this club is neutrally offset, so be careful if you're a slicer!

Otherwise - I love this club. My "gamer" is a TaylorMade R5 which is staying in the bag, but the Bridgestone J33R is a wonderful clubhead.

Hi,

I would reiterate the advice to get on a launch monitor and let a clubmaking professional make some recommendations. They will probably be tremendously different than what you might otherwise invest in. I am a club ho and have several drivers. I will be trying the Tour Edge Exotic driver, the Taylor Made 460, and the Ping G5. All get interesting reviews in the Golf Digest 2006 Hot List. May end up with none of them but just got to go demo em. Also, can't say enough about installing a premium shaft. My $.02

Get on a launch monitor and see what best performs for YOU! Notice almost everyone's suggestion is what they have in the bag, which might not be the best for YOU.

Getting on a launch monitor is great advice. Don't limit your search. Consider a number of possibilities. Right now, the Exotics has bumped the G2 out of my bag, and that is with the stock Fuji HL shaft. Great club.

How about just reshafting the R7? I have a lot of drivers and seem to rotate them, but I have found that the R7 is one of the best performing drivers available. I have a 10.5 with Speeder 757 and found it to be very easy to hit and distance is at least on par with my FT-3, 905T, 580XD, and BB 454.
