Wilson Fybrid

Recommended Posts

With overlapping combinations of loft, length, head size, and shape, golfers are more perplexed than ever about club selection from the fairway. The new FYbrid series solves this confusion with three basic pieces.

* Precise loft and length combinations. Consistent distance gapping from the 5 Hybrid through the 3 wood.

* 1:1 iron replacement hybrids. Remove your 4-iron, replace with 4h. Repeat.

* FYbrid bridge club. The perfect fusion of fairway wood and hybrid. Think new go-to club from long range.

FYbrid Fairway Utilities utilize precise combinations of loft and length to deliver consistent distance gapping between each club.

* FY Club. The FY replaces three clubs - the 2-iron, the 2-hybrid, and the 7-wood. Research has proven that the optimum loft for distance from fairway lies is 19.5 degrees and a club length of 41 inches. The FY club is the only club on the market today that offers these specifications.

* Sole Plate Design. The unique sole design with heel, toe, and central reliefs, creates a rail system that prevents the club from bouncing into the ball at impact; the leading cause of thin shots. The toe and heel reliefs also make the club more playable from side hill lies, and allow the club to be laid open or closed for more advanced shot-making.

Don't let these clubs diminutive head size fool you, particularly the hybrids. They pack a great deal of power. And, it is extremely easy to get the ball airborn and fly it straight, easier to hit than any hybrid I have tested. Off a tight lie or in the rough makes no difference--these clubs make solid contact. Great clubs. Like the brand itself, very, very underrated. Good enough for Padraig and more than good enough for me.

Superb clubs, had the pleasure of them being the hire clubs when I played a round on holiday in Tenerife and I loved them.

Im just waiting to see if they update them in the next month before i switch out my Callaway 3 Hybrid for Wilsons Fybrid.

They look great at address and I struggled to hit them badly, off centre shots still flew straight and i honestly cant heap enough praise on them.

The W/S fybrids are simply the best and easiest to hit hybrids this ole boy has ever hit a golf ball with, period. Too many great pros to list and absolutely no cons, anybody with any swing at anytime can pull off the shot of their round with them. I have to work really hard to put a bad swing on the ball, the fybrids are so underrated its really funny. The fybrids look great, feel great and perform great, adams WHO???? we dont need no stinkin adams, not when you are swinging the Wilson Staff fybrids.

What kind of ball flight would you expect with this? Left to right or right to left.

I am a hooker looking for a straight ball flight.

Thanks

It depends what kinda swing you put on it,they go straight for me with a slight draw or fade depending on were my hands are at impact. They go exactly where you tell them to go.

I have to admit that I was very sceptical at first....been through many hybrids (Ping/Titleist/TM) and never hit one consistently well.
Picked up the 19.5 FW for a great price, thought 'might as well' as I could sell on for same money. First impression was 'stock grip is awful and it looks kinda funny'. All that went away as soon as I hit it....it has found a permanent place in my bag. Off the tee and fairway it is easy...and shots out of the rough are manageable.

If you get chance to try one I would recommend.

I hated the stock grips also i replaced them on both my 19.5* and 24* with lampkin NDUR (white+black) and i luv how they feel. I agree with how easy the fybrids are to hit,i have said this a few times but, everytime i pull 1 of my fybrids out of my bag i feel like i am about to cheat. I actually feel a little sorry for who i am playing against because i know their hybrid is not as easy to hit as mine but,i get over it after i am on the green and i pretend it was all me,LOL.

I recently bought 2 Wilson Staff Fybrid RS hybrids and they are by far the best hybrids I have ever hit. I have the 21 3h and the 24 4h with stiff stock shafts. High straight penetrating ballflight. Highly recommended. Great feeling clubs.
