what shaft?
Well I have decided to go with the mp 60's over the callaway x-tour after hitting them on the range. I want to go with a stiff shaft. I was just debating on going with the standard dynamic gold s300, or to go with the dynamic gold super light and add sensicore in those. Just wanted some opinions on what you guys think. I am also still deciding between standard rubber, or the full cord grip. I have never played a cord grip, so i'll probably just go with the standard, but input on this would be appreciated also. thanks

I put the Tour Fighted Rifle's in my MP-32's and love them. The steprogressive kick point matches up really well with the cut groove technology of the MP-32's and MP-60's.

Just watch ordering Rifle's because they run stiffer than DG's. I played X100 forever and found that even the 6.5 where just a touch stiff with the longer irons so I went with the 6.0's and they are perfect ball flight with the short and long irons.

Just my 2 cents..........

I had them originally with the R300's, and they were pretty good. But I did a comparison crossover evaluation on the 4 iron between the MP 60 with the True Temper Tour Concept R3 and a 5 iron with the R300, and I liked the feel, kick, and control of the Tour Concept even better. I swapped out an entire set of Tour Concepts out of another set of irons into my MP 60's. They are superb.

are these the tour concept shafts you are talking about?

Those are the ones I'm talking about, except they're in a different flex, the S3, which would be about the same flex as a DG S300. The tips are a bit more active on the Tour Concepts, but the trajectories on the short irons would be similar to the DG's. The trajectories on the longer irons are progressively higher than the DG's, making it easier to hit the longer irons, a la the Rifle Flighteds.

I just ordered a set with the Nippon NS Pro 950 shafts. There was an upcharge but well worth it in my opinion. Also, check out their blue cord grips. I have them on my wedges and absolutely love them. They don't tear up my hands the way regular cord grips do.

Does anyone have any feelings about the NS 950 vs. the DG SL's ? I'm about to order a set of 60's, but not sure about the shaft or performance aspects of the Nippon. The specs say that they have a low-mid kickpoint, which should equate to a mid-high trajectory, right? I know that their weight is much lighter than regular DG's.

My new MP-60 arrived yesterday.

I've been thoroughly fitted and I ended up with DG SL R300. Overall better combination of consistency, distance, spin and trajectory than DG, DG Lite, Aldila, NS, Flighted Rifle etc.. Feel in my opinion pretty much the same than DG, so fine to me.

For the grip, that’s totally a matter of personal preference; I’ve got the GolfPride TourVelvet (non cord), ribbed.
