Graphite or Graphite Stiff or Steel shafts Hybrid?

Should club like a 503H which is meant to be a 4 iron replacement - should I get that with a styeel shaft or graphite? I;m confuse dbecuase it; replaceing a steel shafted 4 iron yet all of my hybrids and woods are graphote regular flex. OR Shoul dit be graphite stiff flex? thanks!

If your intent is to replace an iron and hit is the same distance, then go with the steel, providing your irons are steel shafted. Of course, I've heard graphite will only add a few yards to your shot, so it may not matter. Someone who has tested that theory make speak up.

I have hybrids in steel graphite reg and graphite stiff. I rotate the club with the course and conditions that I play. In my experience the graphites give me an overall distance and height gain with the hybrids and not alot of roll. Where as the hybrid with the steel in it gives me a medium ball flight and a boring trajectory with alot of roll but it is easier to work the ball with the steel also. Hope this helps.

I was questioning the same thing. I demoed a Halo 19* steel shaft (2-iron replacement). I hit my Mizzy 3-iron as far (and sometimes farther). I then demoed a Sonertec 19* with graphite shaft and was hitting much farther than me 3- iron (off the tee I was hitting it 220-230).

 

By the way I am a 9 handicap (going down...been playing reel well recently) and have steel irons shafts and graphite for my woods.
