Thank you for your support of the Club Cameron Studio Store at

ScottyCameron.com. Due to the extremely high volume of orders

received for the Cameron Classic Golf Bag - Red/Black and the Custom

Shop Golf Bag - Orange/Black, we were unable to process and fulfill

every order received. These items have been produced in a very

limited quantity, and due to an online inventory issue, we are not

able to fulfill every order placed on January 12, 2006. Therefore,

orders will be processed and fulfilled on a first-received basis,

with each Club Cameron member who completed an online transaction

entitled to only one of each golf bag offered for sale within the

Studio Store at ScottyCameron.com.

 

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and, as always, aim to

release only merchandise of the highest quality in limited

quantities. This unfortunate inventory issue could not be prevented,

and we offer you our sincere apology if you do not receive an item

you intended to purchase. Although an online transaction may have

occurred, your credit card will not be charged if we are unable to

fulfill your order. If for any reason your credit card has already

been charged and we are unable to fulfill your order, we will

dutifully credit your account as soon as possible.

I posted in another post about this...it was kinda odd only 200 of these where made but 40 just like that made it to ebay. There where THOUSANDS trying to get these. What I dont get is the email from CC. It just states the issue, it doesnt say if you will get one of not...its like a craps shoot..if it doesnt show up, you wont be charged. Not Good.

 

My order is still open and listed as ready on CC, but it has yet to ship and I dont have a tracking number on it, at the same time, I have not yet got this email either people are posting. Did I luck out or will we all recieve the email? Who knows.

 

The prices on the bags will go up even more now on ebay. Chances are half those on ebay wont be getting there bags that have sales posts up. Bidders get wind of this, they wont start bigging again till real photos are up, not file photos from CC. Bags will ony go up in cost even more now. Wow. :crosses fingers: Will keep you posted on my order.

Is there any possibility that CC is trying to track who bought and posted the bags on E-Bay and is responding to CC members who e-mailed them that they wanted to buy one for themselves and not for re-sale? I am sure there are plenty of members PO'ed that roughly 20% of the run is up for auction.

 

I am not saying CC would be right to do so, unless by becoming a club member they had some fine print in the rules and regulations that prohibited reselling of club exclusive merchandise. Even if that was true, you can not prevent open market competition, right? I was saying to my wife last night how much CC would make if they set up their own auction site for members for the exclusive stuff like these bags. How much does it cost to make a tour bag? Let's just say $200. They sell them all for $489, so they make $289 a bag, but if they did their own e-bay type site they would have made anywhere from $400 a bag and up easily.

 

Just some random thoughts about all of this... It is almost like daytrading if you bought one....

I bought one, but not with the intent of resale. I have not listed it on Ebay or anything, and I also have yet to recieve any email like a few have posted about the bags being over sold and my order being in jeporady. We will see.

I just talked to the Studio - if you did not recieve an email it appears as though you will be getting one - although it is best to call and check with your order number. I am confirmed as getting one - Actually they told me I was the 3rd person to complete their order for the bag.

Just called and spoke to Scotty himself! LOL! WOW! They are so backed up there he is even answering the phones. He confirmed my order, and that I will get one. He said they are trying to fill them as quick as they can at worst will go out end of Monday. He said the Bags were sold out in 4 minutes, and the server bliped once in the middle of that, otherwise it would have been less then 3. WOW. He said I was one of the lucky ones, almost everyone in the shop, who had to log on just like we did, did not even get one....he asked me if it was for my personal collection (IE, your not putting on ebay a****** are you) I said no Scotty, all my putters will go in there...he laughed. I could tell he was rushed, so I let him go and thanked him for everything....what a plesent suprise in the midst of all the chaos!

That's a cool story to go along with your bag. I'm afraid that I am not going to be getting mine. I had the bags in my cart the second that they popped up on the screen, so that wasn't going to be the problem, but because it was such a high charge (over $1000), I had to call my credit card company to authorize my order. I'm guessing that even though I had my bags in the cart early, this might end up being the downfall to my order :birthday: .

It depends on how the website is constructed. It could be as you say.....200 bags out there...there could be 1000 orders in que, each with a bag, and the first 200 that fully check out are confirmed. This might be the case, and the reason this issue happened, hence the email....OR it could be like buying tickets on line, they hold them, at a time stamp unitl you check out or leave, in that case your ok. I think one thing is for sure, I imgaine they cut off multiple orders...I cantbelieve they didnt limit that to 1 to begin with.

 

Anyway, dont lose faith man till you know for sure.

I think they had to hold them for you once they were in your bag, because I was checking on the site as I was on hold with mastercard :birthday: and the bags appeared as sold out before I was able to get my order through. But when I did place my order the two bags were still there for me to buy. I hope they are going off of the time when I put them in my bag, but my assumption is that I'm out of luck because it took me so long to complete my order.

Totally agree. I have called the studio many of times, and Scotty is the last person to answer the phone.

He left the Sony Open at 3pm Wednesday afternoon with plans to fly out immediately. At least this is what he told us when he signed all our putter covers and pictures and said his goodbye's to us as we were cleaning up his empty putter boxes and packing up the putter loft lie machine.

I hope this finds you well, life is good. The response to the staff bags has

been fantastic! As many of you know, we had an overwhelming response and demand

for the Scotty Cameron staff bags released to the Club last Thursday. In fact,

we've never seen anything like it. Our website traffic went through the roof.

 

We had no idea we would create a server overload. In fact, our entire bag

inventory was sold out within four minutes of going live in the Studio Store.

The only reason for announcing the exact time of the staff bag availability was

to give Club Cameron members fair notice that these pieces would be online.

 

To those who were unable to secure a bag, I offer you my sincere apology. If we

were unable to fulfill your order and your credit card was billed, your account

should now be credited, although the credit may not appear until after the

Holiday. Our online store was completely overwhelmed due to our predetermination

and announcement of the exact sale time.

 

If you were one of the few to receive a bag, that's great! We will be releasing

two new bags in the future and have learned from this past release how to be

more efficient on the next launch.

 

I'd like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this

unprecedented event. It's always nice to hear how loyal, supportive, and warm

Club Cameron members can truly be.

The bags were made for the collector's market/fans and they will go up in value. If you are not into Scottys or don't feel like impressing your buddies at your local richie rich CC, then this would have little appeal to you. Alot of people are upset because they felt this was an opportunity to get 2 bags and flip one, so their cost is 0 or made a little cash.

The Bags are only going up in value. They were 489 on CC. After Tax and shipping, it was 532 to my door.

 

The day they came out, over 50 where on ebay...market was flooded...they were selling for 800-900 dollars.

Then many found out they were not getting there bags, the auction muner droped to about 20-25 this past weekend. Bags started going for over 1000. Now, there is about 15 left...bags are now going for over 1300.

Once this supply ends on here....and there is one posted every once and a while...thats when the bigger money will be comming in...I think 1500-1700 maybe even 2,000. I scored a Black/Red one...and dont plan on selling it...unless I have a trade oppertunity for a Circle T Cameron. Maybe then.
