Cleveland CG10 wedges

I have a few questions about these wedges. I narrowed my decision for a new set of wedges this year to these or vokeys. I will be getting either these in a 50-54-58 setup or vokeys in TC 250-08, and SM 54-14 and 58-08. I am really leaning towards the clevelands. Was just wondering primarily about getting the satin ones or the black pearls. Do the black pearls feel any different than the satin. Second, are there any other advantages obviously other than the reduced glare. I also noticed as a shaft option a dynamic gold black chrome steel. I had never heard of this shaft, can someone fill me in. It's just curiosity setting in. It is a S400 shaft and I haven't had a whole lot of success with these in my wedges, I've always preferred S200's and 300's. Thanks.

CG10s are exactly the same feeling in Satin than in the Bl Pearl finish.

It makes no difference at all with feel. Only reduced glare and of course the look of the wedge (think wheither if you prefer to have a satin or black head behind the ball at adress).

 

The shafts you are talking about are also exactly the same as the traditionnal DG.

Once more, only the cosmetic differs.

ya the only difference is the reduced glare.i know im wrong but i always felt the black pearls were softer........

what did you say about black pearl proto shafts?/any chance of pics of those shafts?

 

agree with the softer feel = have been playing 588 in gunmetal and recently swapped to cg 10,s in black pearl with black pearl s400 shafts =definately much softer in my opinion!

i have posted pics in wtib of them = very heavy though so if you have been used too lighter shafts suggest trial 1st befofe parting with your hard earned

I echo the comments of the others. After hitting what seemed like a million different wedges, I went with the CG-10's mid last year and absolutely love them. I ended up with the Satin finish solely to match my irons and have not any issues with glare. I did like the black pearl finish, but found that there was no difference is feel ... both are soft and very playable. Regarding the shaft, mine is the DG wedge flex (did not see the other one. If there is no difference in feel then i probably will go with the satin ones. Those black chrome shafts are pretty sweet looking but again i really don't like s400's in my wedges, if only they were available in s200 or s300 versions, oh well, can't have evrything we want unless we were tour players and specially catered to. I'm assuming also that the cg10's are considerably softer feeling than the vokeys.

What stores are these offered on the cg10's? I have been looking at many online stores and can't find them. Any info would be appreciated.

golfsmith or tgw.com offer them in heir custom club fitting sections. fyi, golfsmith is ten dollars a wedge cheaper and i think the shaft upgrade was 3 bucks cheaper if i can remember correctly.

i have a CG10 54 deg and a 58-12 spin milled vokey and i think that they both perform well but for longer shots id go with the cg10 because of the MB it has. The vokey for me, with 58 deg loft is more of a 60 yds and in wedge pretty much because longer shots feel better with the cg10
