What Irons Do YOU Currently Play?

I've been stuck on Mizzy's for last 7-8 years. Played MP-29's last 3 and hopefully this year (Spring) will be be deciding between MP-37 Satin JPGA, MP-37 black or staying with the 29's again. My sig says TN-87 but I want to keep those real nice for a while - so I just goof around with them on occasion.... (cool)

I had a set of x-18 pro that I really liked but shortly after i bought them the x-tour cam out so i traded them in for the x-tour. I have had them for six months but never got home to get them to play with. I went home at christmas at got them and have only played 18 holes but so far i am not hitting them good at all. I am hoping i was just having a bad day. The pitching wedge i hit twice and both times it went 90 degrees. I had no problem with the volkey but the pitching wedge was horrible. I hope i can straighten it out or they will be on the auction block. I also hit them real high. I had rifle flighted 5.5 shafts installed and that might have been soem of the problem but that is what i had in the x-18 pro with no problem.

TA-2's, 1*up + 1/2", Nippon Nspro950 -stiff tipped 10mm. Totally awesome iron with the Nippons. I love them so much a spare set of new heads on the way :cheesy:

Currently Mizuno Comp EZs, since I turned round to become a left-hander. On my wish list for this year either a combo set of MP60s and MP32s or Miura CB201 ('cos I'm told the 301s won't be available for lefties any time soon and Bridgestone don't do anything for left handers at all - shame on them). However I need to get my swing sorted out first before investing in new clubs.

Been using a set of Nakashima NP-1's for the past couple of months but i'm not sure now. They're a good looking club but I wonder if i'm making the game too hard for myself. Tried a friends MP-60's yesterday and hit them beautifully. Also tried a set of X-tours and although I wouldn't buy a set because I don't like the look of them, I can't argue with performance.

For my first post: Titleist 981sl is a great iron for a bogey golfer, which I am...Not playing much lately, I got a set with graphites...a special OEM ordered set with the COBRA Airweight shafts which are perfect for my swing...

I do believe it is the last set I'll ever own...

 

If I don't to mention my Cobra CXI set with the same shaft...which is what made me jump on the Titties, my Dynacraft Copperhead CUs with Microtaper steels that are a half-inch long, matching the other two in length and which I play when I play often as they are longer and straighter than the graphos, and a set of Tour Edge bazookas irons only because the Tour Edge logo matches my initials Jt)

Mizuno MP-14's, with TTDG x100's.

Top Flite Strata irons. Before you laugh, they come stock with Flighted Rifles and are basically a cast Hogan Apex Edge Plus/Pro. Thin soles with a nice blunted leading edge. They even managed to bench a set of Pro Combos.

 

I finally woke up and got a set more in line with my ability level, '04 Big Berthas. Just a nice easy swing and the ball launches (in the sim anyway). I'll hold on to the Stratas for the future though, great irons.
