Update to my backyard green/bunker/teebox

Sorry if this was mentioned before, but when you say carpet, is that going on first, then the artificial putting turf on top? Or the carpet is the putting turf?

This thing is amazing, I cant wait to see it when its all finished. You have a really talent for this type of stuff. I have been keeping up with this post for a while now, and now I'm sorta starting to take notes on certain things that you have done, in the spring time I hope to be starting a much smaller version of this project. In the older pictures, did you use the same turf as the putting green, for the fairway area?

I used my old putting green for the fairway. Not the same turf as the new stuff, but both are actually really good to hit off of when there is no/little top dressing.

Today I got all of the old hole patches glued in, got the main seam glued, and put down 1000lbs of top dressing. My back is destroyed, haha. Tomorrow I will finish up the last little bit of brooming, and get the fringe all re-settled and glued. If there's still time in the day I will cut the new holes out for the cups and call it done. Got a boneless new york strip to throw on the grill for a mini completion reward, so that should be a nice little incentive to keep at it in the 30+mph wind. :)

My arms are total jello today and my back is dead... so I'm not doing much out there today. Got the center cup cut out and did a little bit of finish brooming around it so I could hit some putts. Rolls awesome. I'll get back on finishing it up tomorrow.

Thanks. Should be able to knock out the rest of the brooming tomorrow and give it a nice shower to get it looking all sweet again. Might be able to get the fringe all done over the weekend, but my birthday is Sunday and we usually try to play golf on birthdays around here.

I also need to clean out the pond filters and pumps, so it's looking to be a busy one.

All of the fringe is glued to the green, and I've gotten started on the rough. Had to take a slight sidetrack there and finish the left side of the upper pond to get the plants all in, but that's all done now; so this week it's back to carpet work.

It's been really slow moving lately with a big car part project that's just going into production, golf weather finally getting here, and working 95% of the time by myself out back. I really need to get it done before the end of the month though, so that's my current goal. Too much going on with other stuff in May and June for me to get anything done at all, and after that it's pretty hot out here, so it just needs to be done before then.
