J33 combo or MP 60????

No demo, so need advise/suggestions
I am in the market for a second iron set and have narrowed it down to these two sets. I might also consider the MP32s. I am looking for feel more than anything alse, though a minor amount of forgiveness is a bonus. I am currently playing nike pro combo tours, and have no plans on taking them out of the bag, but they are on their way out the door for a satin refinish, and I would like something a bit different while they are gone. For those who have tried both, which set feels better? Which would you suggest and why? If the Mp32 is better than both, why?

Haven't hit the MP60, wasn't that excited by the topline in comparison to the MP32 and the J33 combo.

I found the J33 and the MP32 very similar although the longer irons, 3, 4 and 5 in the J33 combo were slightly easier to use. So on the forgiveness scale, J33 combos.

You could always wait a fortnight for the J33 Cavity :cheesy:

For sure . MP60 is softer and more forgiving than the J33 combo in short irons especially.

In my opinion, MP60 is a better all rounder and at knockdowns. MP 32 feels more solid than MP60.

The advantages that a J33 combo have is higher ball flight with longer irons, which i really like and need. But I seriously dont think they are alot better than your procombo.

I'm leaning towards MP60 for its playability. and J33 combo for the flights. MP32 for its solid feel.

hayam nails it.

I have both the J33 Combo's and MP60's, both with Nippon GH950 shafts, and have been going back and forth between the two sets.

I've found that the MP60's are a little easier to hit than the J33's. and although the Mp60's are softer feeling, the J33's feel great as well, just with a slightly firmer, more precise feel. For me the trajectory is very similar.

I haven't played the MP32's but when I hit them at the range I found them to be very similar to the J33's, ie possessing a slightly more precise sweetspot than the MP60's. Very tempting, but a bit more demanding of good ball striking than my game's ready for.

Thanks Steve for the acknowledgement !

But that being said.. i seriously can't fault the Pro combo Tour , i find them truely fantastic too.

I would go for a slightly more forgiving 2nd set .. or the other way round. To use when, swing is off or whatever reason. You never know if they actually improves your score.

Absolutely love my PC Tours - they will stay in the bag, but are going away for a while to be refinished in satin. I just want something a little different while they are away. I am leaning towards the MP60s, but have changed my mind at least 5 times since Saturday!!! Thanks to all for the input. Keep it coming.

I hit them both side by side along with a few others a while back, all had DG S300 shafts in them and I ended up with the MP60's. On flushed shots the trajectory of the J33's was a tad lower for me throughout the set but I felt the short irons were much less forgiving, I noticed more of a distance loss on off center hits than with the 60's and the feedback felt some what muted for lack of a better term, I could feel where on the face shots were struck easier on the 60's, most of my mishits were and generally are towards the toe and with the J33's it resulted in a 5 to 15 yard distance loss compared to a well struck shot. I wanted to like the J33's because they were cheaper but they just didn't do it for me. Hope this helps :cheesy:
