Vokey Spin Milled: Where have I been????

I know Vokey Spin Milled wedges have been talked about ad nauseum but yesterday was the first time I actually tried one. I hit the 58.08 and I must say I was very impressed. It sets up perfectly behind the ball and is incredibly accurate on chips and pitches. I was also very comfortable hitting full shots. It feels much better than Vokeys I've tried in the past and really puts a bite on the ball. I love the finish as well and would love to see a set of Titleist irons with it. I was not as impressed with the 54 however. Not that it wasn't good but I prefer the Ping Tour or i5 seeing as I use mainly for full shots and chipping.

 

The Vokey 58 will definitely find it's way into my bag.

Switched from Ping Eye2 wedges to Vokeys a month ago (52 plus 56 and 60 spin milled). Best club switch I've made to-date (although the MP-60's are about two weeks out...). Very accurate and consistent trajectory - plus the stopping action is incredible.

 

Can't go wrong adding these to your bag..... :cheesy:

The Spin Milled wedge by Titleist is in the bag of LOTS of professionals. Titleist is the #1 used wedge on the PGA TOUR and many of those wedges are the Spin Milled model.

For the pros that use spin milled: are they actually just spin milled wedges or are they just hte spin milled grooves?

They are great wedges. I got rid of my Clevelands SW and LW when I hit a Spin Milled. Now I have two Spin Milled in my bag.

 

That is exactly the same thing I did. Great wedges, but I wish they didn't shred the heck out of my golf balls. They kill the HX Tours that I use. :drinks:

Does anybody know if the Spin Milled line will include a 52* for 2006?

I have a 60.08 and it is flat out awesome. On pitches the ball stops really well (even 2 piecers) and flops are insane with this thing. The "Get out of jail" club of golf.

Thanks Bladegeek. I have a Vokey 200 Series 52* and it does spin the ball very well. Will probably keep it and go with a new 56 and 60 Spin Milled.
