Got pets?

I have a goldfish who is named Tippy. When I got him (or she, I have no idea) he had black tips on his tail, so I named him Tippy. Catch is, I got him in November of 1995, so this fish is going on 11 years old, 6 years younger than me, which is somewhat scary.

That 3rd pic is too funny! I love it! Is GiGi high from sniffing pollen or something? Whats with all the yellow stuff around her nose? What breed of dog is GiGi? Weimaraner?

Gotta love the Georgia pollen season! She is a weim that we got from a southeast weim rescue group. The story is actually pretty bad. She was found by a pug rescue volunteer at a shelter in Mississippi the day before she was going to be put down. GiGi was an absolute mess - mange, malnourished and cuts all over her legs (we have the pictures - they're awful). They contacted the weim rescue who found her a foster family that nursed her back to health. We saw her online and everything they wrote about her seemed to fit - she's really the anti-weim. Docile and very low maintenance. She's also taken quite a liking to our six month old baby boy and she has adjusted to her new home perfectly.

We rescued Sadie also but she was fine other than the fact that she was really skinny. She is part pit bull and possibly mixed with something, weimaraner we think especially after seeing GiGi hehe. Sadie is also very docile and low maintenance, more so than any other dog I've had in fact. Maybe they know they were knocking on deaths door and truely appreciate that second chance. It sure seems that way.

Wow! There is a definitely a resemblance there. Their coloring is almost identical, even on their underneath. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sadie has some weim in her based on those pictures. Her ears are obviously different (GiGI should be able to fly with the ones she has) but there is certainly a lot of similar features.

Ya I think so too. GiGi definitely has some big ears on her hehe. That 2nd pic her eyes look almost human. I'm going to have to make that 3rd pic my wallpaper, makes me smile everytime I see it!

The lady to my left is Macy Lou. She's about a year old and rocking her lady bug Halloween costume. There are a lot of Boxers on this thread, but that's because they are the sweetest dogs I've ever come across. I wish I had room for 10 of them. And Zojo, the second picture of Jake a few above mine is a pose I've seen from Macy millions of times. Very Boxer!

City Girl at work. We found her on the highway at a place called "City Limits" sick, skinny, and with mange.....not anymore. We don't have kids so we are spending their college fund on her. All she cares about is running. She'll run 27 holes in 100* Texas heat and want more!

I see some people on here have rotweilers and pitbulls as pets and these dogs get a bad rap because they can be aggressive and their history. But if you teach the dog not to be aggressive it can make a tremendous difference in the dogs behavior. My brother owns a female rotweiler in south carolina and in some parts of the state rotweillers are banned from some neighborhoods because one of them killed a little girl. just sucks that these dogs get a bad rap.
