For all recreational golfers: How many golf bags do you have?

Recommended Posts

i've got 4 bags but really only use one of them, the titleist.

Titleist X68

Ping Hoofer Vantage

Taylormade TMX stand

Ping Freestyle

How do you like the TMX?

I've got one bag...an Ogio Ozone, I like the pockets and woode top, but the legs and dividers (pull out nylon with the clubs too often) are not the best quality.

Honestly, I haven't used it out on the course yet - it's only used to store spare clubs at the moment.

I couldn't pass up a good deal but from a cosmetic standpoint, the construction quality seems to be good. I'll probably dedicate it as a cart-only bag.

It is almost impossible to remember how tragic a place the world is when one is playing golf. -Robert Wilson Lynd

I have 3 bags:

1. Main bag - forged irons, forged wedges, newest driver, newest woods and newest hybrids. I use an Anser type of putter, because I like this putter shape better on faster more dry greens.

2. Rain bag - cast set of irons & cast trio of wedges. A driver, woods and hybrid which are off spring from the main bag (last years model). Putter is a more forgiving semi mallet type of putter, which I think rolls the ball a bit better on slower more bumpy wet greens.

3. Practice bag - a small light weight stand bag, which contains clubs I only use, when I practice: An older driver (old in my world is 1 year), a 6 iron that matches the 6 iron from one of my irons sets (I always buy an extra 6 iron, when ever I buy new irons for practice purpose), 3 wedges and a putter. Also contains some practice stuff, which I find is great for my practice routines on the range - a Pure Ball Striker (PBS device) is on order along with a SKLZ Practice Pod Alignment Aid - for better and straighter setup at the range.

Wow where do I start...

2 Ping bags from High School (1 L8 and 1 Hoofer)
2 Ping bags from college (1 hoofer and 1 JBag)
All White Hoofer (Use now)
Tan Hoofer (Belonged to my dad who doesn't play anymore)
Burgandy and Black Hoofer (Used in the summer during High School)
Green L8 (Given to me by a friend)
Taylormade R7 Staff Bag
Titleist Sunday Bag

I also gave a Navy Hoofer and a Black and White Hoofer away. They just don't tear up.

My wife also has 4 Hoofers from college (The ladies team got a new one EVERY year  )
Blue Hoofer
Green and Yellow Ping Freestyle

Didn't you have to return the school bags?

In my quest to find my "perfect" bag I think I've accumulated five.

Ogio Grom--love the cart strap, but the valuable pocket is too small and it's heavier.

Sun Mountain 3.5--great for carrying, but no putter well.

Ping Latitue II--probably the best combination of the features that I want....but, it will not stay upright on a cart.

Sun Mountain C130--awesome bag, so much room, but sometimes it's a pretty good walk from the car to the cart barn, and that thing i big and heavey when loaded. Plus if the person sharing a cart with you has a big bag, tough to fit both of them on there.

Titliest--(not sure of the exact model, but I believe it is last years stand)--this is the one I've ended up using most of the time. Big enough to hold everything comfortably, big valuable pocket, a couple of inside zippered pockets (my golf wallet fits nicely and just stays in there). only drawback is no putter well, but its got eight openings so I can make it work.

LOL that's great.

I only have one bag: a Ping 4 Under. Might get a higher-end Ping stand bag next season, since I'm always looking for golf crap I don't need to spend my money on.

I have 5 bags, in total.

1) Nike Performance Carry - Gamer bag; 14 way full length dividers and lots of storage space. I use it on a clicgear.
2) Callaway FT Staff Bag - Display/Storage Bag; I keep a refinished set of blades, and any extra stuff I might hit or goof with (983E, prior 3 wood gamer, switch out speciality driving iron hybrid, etc...)
3) Sunday Bag - Just for those times I only want to take a few clubs to the range or to play a few holes, or goof around with girl (she's almost 3 now).
4) Old Ping Hoofer - Holds pulls I think I might use one day
5) Old Carry Bag - Hold junk I need to get rid of.

I have but the one at the moment, a Burton cart bag that I bought years ago because of the 14-way divider and multiple pockets. I wish I'd kept the ones I've had before, but I had the habit of giving stuff away. Now, I'm the one needing at least one second bag to hold the extra clubs cluttering up the spare room.
