Tough to play against more than 11. Some of those calls were unbelieveable. Blocking below the waist on a tackle? :drinks:

some of the calls were pretty bogus. even madden called out a phantom holding call.....when madden is making better calls then refs you know its a problem "boom, tough actin tinactin".

 

but crappy calls aside you can't run series like the ones to end the half and game and miss fg's and expect to win. the better team won, bu it sure wan't in a convincing manner.

i predicted the steelers would win by 10 in another post awhile ago and i was pretty darn close...it is crazy in da burgh tonight...most schools r delayed by 2 hrs. tom. cuz of the game...

HA! I agree there were 4 bad calls in my opinion.

I'll go in order of obviousness

 

#1. Chop Block...it was a tackle..come on!

#2. Offensive Pass Interference...if ever game was that particular there would be a penalty every play...no way that was a push off in my opinion worst call of the game.

#3. Rothlisberger Touchdown...another fairly obivous call...I've watched it OVER and OVER...the ball is in his bicep, his head is less than 6 inches across the goal line...the ball NEVER crosses the line...I DREW A FRICKEN LINE ON MY TV....it doesnt cross END OF STORY.

#4. I don't know if anyone else saw this...but there were at least 3 instances I remember where Pittsburgh was at least a foot offside. This was easily seen on TV and one resulted in a Holding call against Seattle.

 

There also was the missed Delay of Game when Pittsburgh called the time out after the playclock was at 0 for about a second.

 

 

 

Now...I wasn't going for either team...my prediction was just what I thought the outcome would be based on everything I heard, watched and read for 2 weeks.

 

It happened in the Indy game with a terrible call on the Polamalu INT...and it continued into the Super Bowl.

 

 

Now that I mentioned all that.........lol on to some Super Bowl Highlights from the party I went too....

 

We have a Street Pool and had all the people over from that which included one Seahawks fan and one Steelers fan.

 

They were both decked out in all their teams geared, including the Terrible Towel.

 

Funniest part of the night was the Steelers fan comes over with a CD Player over his should and were all like WTF???

 

When Polamalu hammered Stevens he goes to the CD Player and presses play....

 

a song comes on....It's the Muppets "Phenomenon" song and everytime it says phenomenon he shouts...Palamolu!!! it was hilarious.

 

The second song he played was on the Steelers final 2 drives...for the whole drive ......

 

THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND.......

 

 

Great party, terrible game, glad to see Bettis and Cowher finally win one!!
