Nike vs. Mizuno

What are your guys thoughts concering a comparison between Nike Forged Blades and Mizuno MP-32's? I've got the 32's in my signature because I was very seriously considering buying them. I know that the Nikes don't compare to the forgiving capability of the 32's.

Most will disagree but I prefer the Nike's. Granted, I'm not good enough to play them on a regualr basis but their "soft click" provides instant feedback that I prefer over a buttery feel. I also think they look better at address and glide through any lie. Great sticks.

check out the new nike pro combo's, also mizuno has a better track record for forging.

i've owned both sets of clubs. playability-wise they are very close but i would urge you to go with the MP-32's. the club head is a bit larger and they are more forgiving. also, the lofts are approximately 2* stronger than the Nike's (for example the MP-32's PW is 47* vs Nike Blades PW is 49*).

The MP-32 and the Nike blades are pretty radically different. I had Callaway X-14, wanted to try to get more feel although real shotmaking is still beyond my ability. I demo'ed some blades to see whether this was something I could play. Mizuno MP-37s look great and feel great when you're there, but the penalty for mishits was bad. I also tried out the Cleveland TA-1 which seemed a little less demanding even though the heads look very small to me. I took a few swings with the Nike blade and I found it much less forgiving than the MP-37. It really makes me admire the guys that play with 690MBs.

 

I switched to looking at a cavity back with less offset and was liking the Taylor Made RAC LT. Before buying them I decided to give the MP-32 (which had just came out) a try. Even though it has a blade appearance, it feels much closer to something like the LT but with a lot more feel, much more forgiving than a traditional blade. I ended up getting the MP-32 and really feel like it was a good match to what I was looking for (perhaps the MP-60 is even closer, although I haven't tried them out).

 

For what it's worth, it seems to me that the spread of feel and performance for blades is much wider than you would expect from the differences in appearance. Perhaps that shouldn't be surprising at all.

The Mizuno's are a better made club than the Nike's. The 32's will be more forgiving also. Hit both and go with what you like best. I would play a few rounds w/each to determine what works best for you. This way you will get an idea on different shots on the course.

one club is not better than the other. they are two different clubs. the mizuno is going to be softer and more forgiving and the nike is going to be more of a shot making club with lots of control. the nike blade is pretty forgiving for a blade and does have a soft feel.

 

if you want forgiveness and distance then get the mp-32. if you want accuracy and shot control get the nikes.

Nike blades should be compared to MP-37 which i currently own, also the best feeling blades...o man haha

I agree with that as well. Don't know if the Nike's hit it quite so low but I can't see Tiger hitting anything comparible to an MP-32.

 

Played yesterday and nearly got blown over in the wind. Started looking at MP-37's myself after the round!

This is kind of an apples to oranges comparison. A better comparison would be the Pro Combo's vs. MP32's. But if it's forgiveness you are looking for then go for the MP32's vs. Nike blades.

I appreciate the input. I like the MP-32's alot better, just seeing what you all though comparing them to a traditional muscle. How would you all compare the 32's to the 735.CM in chrome?

mp 32 vs. 735? mp 32 hands down. softer feel. better looking club and more forgiving with just as much control. i haven't been impressed with the 735's. i'm gonna go as far and say disappointed.
