He definitely hasn't got a Fuji shaft in his driver. I was watching the Dubai tourney last night and Ernie has the same Diamana in his driver as Tiger's got in SQ.

He's using Project X in his irons now...... least he had them in in Dubai.

I have been trying to fingure out what shafts he currently had in his irons. I though perhaps he went back to the standard rifles since the shafts are chrome steel...perhaps he has the tour chrome version of the Project x shafts (similar to D. Toms)? They are certainly not the satin/matte/brush finish project x shafts he put in play last year.

i think he has also go some sort of hybrid in the bag to replace his 2 iron

Titleist has indicated that his utility iron is a 503.H. He is definitely carrying a club that looks like a 503.H, but in his shot to the green from the sand and trees on the left in the playoff hole at Dubai, the clubhead looked more like the 504.H prototype that we saw in Tommy Armour III's bag earlier this year.

his putter is the same, Scotty cameron stated that he has recently changed the shaft. After the knee surgery he got used to a more upright position at address with his putter and Scotty had to lengthen it therefore...

I'm not sure..... last year he was using a Newport Cami&co with red infill....... this year it's a Newport II with white infill..........

anybody got any recent close-ups?

Erinie should have stuck with his 670 irons because he was coming up short or pushing his iron shots right throughout the Dubai tournament with his new 695s unless his knee was a factor on his swing...not sure of the design/weight distribution of that iron head...I would be interested in seeing how DLIII is hitting them compared to his old set...Ernie's putting was solid with his SC Newport II. The 905R driver/shaft combo cost him the tournament (a duck hook). Does anyone else think he should have laid up from where he was on the playoff hole and try to hit close for his third shot...granted, he only missed getting it over the water by a foot but par would have extended the playoff. He birded or eagled the 18th every time except in the playoff...TW is incredible...never gives up and his short game around the greens won him that $400K to go with the $3M appearance fee...I wonder if Ernie got a appearance fee...he and the top 10 who showed up should have? Anyway, for the promoters, having TW there generates more than $3M revenue for them in the long run and he'll be back next year to defend. I just think there's too much pressure for the world's best to switch clubs every year to generate money for their company...everyone knows TW's SQ driver is not stock and he's hitting it worse than his old Ignite which is probably the best driver out there with the TM R7 and Bstone J33P...I remember when Ernie was killing the ball with his 983K in Hawaii in '04...makes for good TV ratings to see these guys trying to hit incredible shots (drama) from the sand/trees/rocks I guess...the fairway is boring right? Thanks for your time.

on the cover of golf digest you can see that hes playing 695cbs and not the mbs. i have no idea why he had them it might have just been for the article tho.

I was just going to say that. when i got my marc h golfdigest from the mailbox ut showed ernie wiht the 695cb's even though i know hes playing the mb's/ maybe he has a cb 2 or 3 iron.

The commentators said that EE's shot int eh playoff hole was as tough a shot to punch down the fairway as it was to go for the gree- like he did. I call bull because if he could get it up and over, just don't hit it as hard and he would have been in position for a wedge 3rd.

As for EE's irons, I'm sure they are the same specs as his old one's, or better. A new set cannot be blamed for his missed shots.

TW is still getting used to the SQ, and when he does it's going to be 2000 all over again. Look at what the has done already this year with his subpar game. He can chip and putt his was around a course better than anyone in the history of the game.

TW switching clubs each year for the company's advertising purposes, his clubs are so custom made, not sure how much effective differences he has made, just a little in the way of cosmetics and paint color.

Just to point out a qiuck fact. Ernie hit those shots not the clubs. I'm huge Ernie fan, but he blew it not his clubs. If his clubs were so "bad" he would not have tied the score he used to win the tourney last year 19 under. Just my .002 CAM :drinks:
