Callaway ERC Fusion

Has any one tried this driver?

I was looking at drivers in the local golf shop at the weekend. They had these drivers for 150 euro and I was tempted to buy one to try out. In the end I didn't get one, thought i'd get feedback / opinions on the driver first. So i was wondering if any of you have used or tried this club??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Played with one the last 2 years, longest driver I've owned and definitely the most accurate. On the downside, the feel (and sound if you find that important) takes getting used too and the stock shaft didn't suit my swing (that's why I have an Aldila nv 65 stiff in it). Size might also be on the downside for you, I feel like the bigger heads out there provide more forgiveness and therefore I'm considering a switch.

I played one also about 2-2.5 years ago and hit it as well as any driver I have ever played. Although I could not get over the dead muted sound it made. I am now playing a Callaway 454 and I love the sound but I am not hitting it nearly as well as the older erc fusion.

I played one for about a year or so after they hit the market. Very accurate and pretty long (compared to the TM I played prior). Only problem, other than the sound, was that I cracked two of them the first year that I played them. Callaway replaced the first one with no problems at all and I just gave up after the second and wnet back to an all titanium driver. Needless to say, I am not much of a fan of composite clubs.

I have a friend who played the ERC for about a year and half. He traded it in for the FT-3 and wished he hadn't. He hit the ERC longer and straighter. He recently bought another ERC off the Callaway Preowned site and is bombing his drives again.

Yeah the ERC Fusion is a good club. I saw in my local Nevada Bobs they were selling the Great Big Bertha II drivers for around £60 which I thought was an excellent deal. I have hit the ERC Fusion, GBBII, FT3 and the BB 454 which I actually bought. If u can get a 454 cheap I would reccommend it.

Between the ERC Fusion and the GBBII I would actually go for the GBBII I just liked the way it looked at address over the ERC Fusion I like the bigger head GBBII has 380cc as standard and the ERC Fusion is 360cc standard. There is also a 415cc version of the GBBII. The two tone multi compound crown of the fusion just put me off.

In the end I went for the BB454 and I'm bombing drives.
