Good bye ipod! Hello Orb!

So, its been a long time since I've posted. I've been a 'non-golfer' for about a year now. I paid the 'larrys' a visit last week and they got me back into the swing of things. I hadn't touched a club for 7 months until last weekend. Now I've hit the range twice and played 36 :drinks:

 

Anyways moving onto the important stuff.

 

One of the biggest reasons I haven't been playing is because I hate playing solo and I enjoy a healthy bet on the side. I couldn't seem to find a good group of guys to play with that enjoy some of my same wagers. I found a few muni groups, but they're idea of a 'big bet' was a 3 dollar nassua. Its not that I didn't enjoy myself when I did play, it just takes a little extra to get me excited to play :P

 

So most ofmy 'golf' time over the last year and 1/2 has been at the range with my ipod. It helped time pass, but I started to get sick of the same stuff as I always forgot to update my playlists.

 

Recently I bought a new phone from Sprint. I also bought their high speed data service for 15 dollars a month 0 which generates speeds on average of 500 kbps. Then I stumbled onto some software called Orb. It is placed on your home PC or media station and it allows you to stream ALL of your media to to ANYWHERE. You can access your media at work, in the airport, and even on your phone! It allows access to audio and video - including TV if your have a tuner card.

 

So now I don't have to worry about getting board of my media because I have access to all the media I would if I was at home. If my mp3s get boring, i'll flip on the tv, watch a dvd, etc.

 

The best part about Orb, is its FREE!

 

I'm sure you've all heard of the slingbox, this is just software to turn your pc into a free slingbox.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago, seems like a great way to go if you are on the road a lot.
