Fantasy golf tips

This is my first season to play fantasy golf!

 

My first tournament didn't go so well. I had Vijay, Phil, Justin, Duval, Weir, Chad, and Davis, and Daly on my team. Let's just say that I didn't beat very many people hehe. I got 106 points in the Yahoo! league. 200 was first place.

 

Got any tips for playing fantasy golf? Any rookies to really look out for? J.B. Holmes made a few players happy last week!

Choose your players based on past performance and the course type.

 

Pebble beach is a place where if you can't put well you're not going very far with the tough greens they have, so I have Faxon on my fantasy team since he's one of the most consistant putters.

 

Here's the trick though, look at consistency, I love JD, but I know he's as streaky as they get, and I knew Vijay wasn't getting very far with his putting last week so I went with Phil for my A list player

 

For my 2 B listers I choose 2 guys that I knew were consistant, Justin Leonard and Stewart Cink, they are almost always in the top 15

 

You really have to know the guys you're picking and pick people who are consistant, don't always go for the bigt name or fan favorite
