Joe, what the hell? Those look stunning! How do those "lips" make it play different than mine? And that gun metal finish looks a little glossy. BEAUTIFUL!! Mine aren't holding up that well looks-wise with the raw finish but they still play great! Even had Lee Trevino admiring them today.

It's different, like i said above the pictures...this grind will act like a second bounce.

 

The glossy look at from a silicone spray to protect it from rusting when i send it out to a customer.

Hmm 3 nights hotel, 1 round at Bintan or Sentosa and round trip ticket to my home town should do the job next time i drop by. :D

 

Then I'll do it on the spot for you if you have the right belt sander until they look and perform good in your hand. However, I have to do it in a closed door with no camera! ha ha ha!

I will say this. As a PGA Professional I have not paid for any golf club, or any other equipment for that matter, for a long time. Joe did a grind on a 58* for me(a pic of it is earlier in this thread. It has the MB stamp). I have used this wedge in competition now for about a month. BTW I have not spoken to Joe since he built it for me. Without a doubt this wedge has been the best wedge I have ever put into competition. From the fairway, chipping and bunker play, it's been money......literally money. Finished 2nd today in a PGA Section event and that wedge is solid. Have finished in the money in almost every event I have played in since I put it into my bag.

 

The only problem is.........is that he made me pay for it! :) Well, it has more than paid for itself. :)

Came in yesterday, picked it up today. I have to say I am a bit upset, cause now I have to buy a matching 53*, plus my wife is pissed from me leaving a few brush divots in the back yard testing it as much as I could. This thing is sweet!!!! I can't wait to take to the course and put it in play. Always great to do business with you Joe, thank you.

Gun metal is an oxidation, not a plating. So it won't last but it'll stay dark the part that never gets hit. It will rust eventually if you never clean it up after play.

Any grind is possible. Get fitted before ordering is the right way to do it.

FYI, Stocking on non conforming groves on these wedges are getting low and they won't have it as a stock item anymore. The new conforming groves stock shipment are coming within 1-2 week.
