Hey guys. Just got with a Titleist rep today, and ordered my 905R. The demo's will be out March 1st, and my custom order will be in March 15th. I went through all the stock and aftermarket shaft offerings that Titleist will be offering, so I could probably answer some of those questions.

I got the 9.5* 905r with a v2 75 shaft, 44.5" long, it will frequency right at a standard X flex with the insertion depth. I hit his demo with the stock speeder shaft on the launch monitors against my 905t, and I gained about 10 yards carry with the new driver, and the shaft launched my ball too high with too much spin, so with the right shaft, I might pick up a little more. My best drive with both clubs still had 7 yards difference in favor of the 905R, so it is longer, even versus sweet spot hits. The rep said that he expected that to be common in players switching to the new driver. My swing speed averages about 115 with the driver. I can't wait to put mine in play.

Also, hit the 695mb's....they have a great feel...and no offense to JHR, but I didn't like the 660's feel as much and I play the 690.mb's....I could see myself switching, to the 695's, but not the 660's. I won't though until my 690's wear out, because I love them.

Demo'd some of the Cameron circa 62's....seemed like Scotty might have added a little weight to them from previous scotty offerings, which is good, but then again, I'm just going off of feel.

Saw the oil can spin milled...they had the stamp on the back flange....look good though.

He also said that the proto 3 wood the players have been hitting, I think it's the F305, or something like that will be in production in June, so it will be coming to a store near you....can't wait for that.

I'm a titleist junky, and I'm happy with what they are doing with their clubs right now.

Can you tell me if any new iron shafts are available ?? Tour Concept ? Black Gold ?

I didn't get into the iron shaft specs too much with him...He did say that Titleist is making an effort to offer every popular shafts as an option from Titleist.

 

Diamana redboard is a driver option....I believe it is a $200-$220 upcharge

Any word on this F03 fairway wood?? From looking at DLIII's bag in the latest Golf Digest it looks like a variation of the old PT come back to life.

Will the fujikura platform or Aldila NVS be standard offerings? Or will it be the usual speeder, ys-6, titleist and NV?

The stock offerings this year will be the NV65, YS-6+, T-Speeder, V2-75. The NVS and Platform will be no-charge custom offerings.

No Proto's or Axis. Which Fuji in particular were you looking for? All of the normal offerings are available + Zcom.

v2 65 is a no charge option, I believe...

does titleist order the shafts 2" longer for true flex? I read this somewhere recently. Or do the shafts play tip stiffer because of the bore?

Some have an extended PTS - Diamana (1"), U.S. versions of ZComs

I'm guessing probably about the same as the Mitsubishi Red Board ($200-$220).
