No picture of prototype 3 wood

Has anyone noticed on the Titleist website when you look at whats in the players bags, the ones that play the F305 3 wood just says prototype and doesnt show a picture? They still list the 905R and 695's as prototypes but have pictures of them. I wonder whats the story with the 3 wood?

Since it's gonna be released later than the R and 695's, I'd say that Titleist would've rather the F305 a little more under wraps. So they'll do what they can to do so.

Its because Titleist wont really acknowledge what it is yet. WE as in all of us here on Golf Wrx know it will be the 906 but were about it.... we also know it will come out in the summer. Titleist doesnt want to acknowledge it bc imo they dont want to hurt current sales of the 904. just like they didnt acknowledge the 905R til within the last month or so.

The reason it isn't shown on the website is b/c Titleist isn't releasing the club. That's right...let's all repeat...TITLEIST IS NOT RELEASING THE F3-05. Just like they never released the 970...sure, they put out a half a** retail version called the PT...but it was no where near the club that the 970 was. Unlike the 905R and 695.mb...which are heading to retail shortly, the F3-05 is not and never will be available to the public...any variation of the club that hits retail will be just that...a VARIATION...made for the masses. Trust me, you will not see DLIII or Adam Scott or anyone else who currently plays the F3-05 switching to a 906 (or whatever they want to call it). Give up the dream...unless you spend about $2000 on a true F3-05...you will never know what it is like to hit one.

Duckhook is right, they aren't releasing this club. They're planning a 2007 release of a new fwy wood but who knows what it will be...

I think there are two different fairway woods getting talked about here - isn't there the one oberholser has that is going to get released and the f3-05 which isn't going to get released.

The PT was around for a long time before the 970 - it was not the released as a "half assed version" of the 970.
