Virginia Beach Golf.......

Anyone have any advice on courses in Virginia Beach area? Planning on a spring trip, and any advice would be great. Thanks

go to bay creek golf club in cape charles, va. it is about 45 minutes from the beach. two courses by nicklaus and palmer. better than anything at va beach.

If you're a member at a private club, get your pro to call Bayville. Very private Fazio design....best greens east of Kinloch...but tough to get on.

Nice little public track called Bide-a-Wee. Curtis Strange redo a few years ago, very nice, usually in great shape.

I was thinking of TPC, Heron's Ridge, The Signature at West Neck, or Hell's point. Thanks for the other ideas.

Hell's Point is very good, too. TPC is great, but kinda gimmicky at spots. If its windy, good luck. :D

I definitely encourage you to make the 1 hour trip up the road to Williamsburg. There you can play Golden Horseshoe, Kingsmill, Royal New Kent, and Williamsburg National. All 4 of these tracks are in my opinion superior to anything at the beach with the exception of Arnie's Bay Creek (which is actually on the Eastern Shore). TPC & Westneck are very solid, but Williamsburg is just a little better. Good Luck

I will third that. Unless you are a memeber or have connections, good luck at Bay Creek, My understading is that they went 100% private. I visit a buddy that is stationed in Virginia Beach twice a year so I can attest to the great golf they have there.

There is a links style course that I enjoyed played call Callhoon Plantation <sp> . Tee to green the cousre is TOP NOTCH !!!!
