My new purchases

I took your advice abewley, and got refitted for my G5's, however, they still didn't feel right. So I asked the fitter if I could try another set, so I pulled the MX-23, X-18, and OS2. After a few hits I dropped the MX-23 and focused on the X-18 and OS2. The launch monitor read 95 mph swing speed with the X-18 and with the OS2 it read 89 mph (6 irons). The X-18 gave me great distance, in fact on the 1st shot it went 182 yards with the 6 iron. The OS2 gave me accuracy, consistancy, and the ball was reaching right at 175 yards. It was a hard decision, but after slicing about 4 shots in a row with the X-18, I ended up with the OS2. I ended up getting full value for my clubs and pocketed $150. I feel very confident in my decision coincidently I'm a standard lie and loft.

 

I traded in my Voodoo Daddy, Cleveland driver, and Sand Wedge for:

 

a 34" center shaft Monza Corza (trade)

a 56* Titleist 200 series black nickel (trade)

traded out my r540 XD stock m.a.s.2 55 shaft for V2 stiff and got a New Decade™ MultiCompound, Midsize grips

an OGIO vaporlite golf bag (wife bought it)

I have some old TM Supersteel Burners and have thought about trading in for the OS2s. I may have to go hit some now to make my decision tougher. :D

congrats on your purchase man....i play the os2 and love them....although i haven't really taken it out into the course yet......i've put them to the test on the monitor and loved every bit of it....i just hope it holds up as well at the course..........plus pro shop will give me about 90% of the value if it doesn't feel right for me or if it's not what i'm looking for.....so i can't lose either way.........

 

what's the shaft on your os2s?

Thanks guys. I'm pretty pumped up about getting on the course next week. Winter has been fairly mild here in the Piney Woods/Gulf Coast of Texas, it just got below freezing on Saturday, and is expected to warm up again.

 

Hermes, the shafts are stock TaylorMade, I would actually recommend these.

 

Texag, I highly recommend these irons, to anybody. The best investment you could make, hands down.
