here is what is very odd..

 

the face... not just the paint fill.

 

the face of the "proto" is just like a SQ Tour. with dashes for the circle instead of the dot's on the retail max.

 

I think its tour ... it looks just like the SQ TOUR face on the the nikegolf.com site, same paintfill and all.

remember the face is taller on the sq tour ... so that must create a slightly different headshape for the sq max tour. so its a completely diff. head from the max...

from those last pics, i would def say that it is a Tour face, with the Non-Tour body, very very neat, id keep that bad boy, get it signed by a nike player or something, pump up that value.

 

 

and as for that orange shaft in the other post above, i think it might be an accuflex evolution, probably at just the right light angle to glow orange

I'd seriously consider selling it on here - there are folks here who would give you an honest opinion on value, and you'd be selling it to someone who would most likely keep it and/or use it, as opposed to "flip" it. If you can specify payment by cashier check, and if the $800 figure someone threw out is true, you would save approx. $75 just in Ebay and Paypal fees (~10% is a good rule of thumb).

 

Just a thought.
