I need your help...

Tomorrow I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the SQ (Max). I currently have the Ignite 460 8.5* with a Pro Launch stiff shaft. My SS is between 105-110 and if my memory serves me my backspin rpm was just under 4,000. When I was fitted for my Ignite this was thier recommendation. I know the SQ is desinged to launch it high, so my question to you all is, without getting on a monitor what loft and possible shaft would you suggest? I was thinking about going to a 9.5, but wasn't sure. Suggestions....

When I demoed the SQ with the Nike Rep, I crushed a 9.5 about 270 yards. Trust me, I can-NOT hit a 9.5. I decided on a 10.5 and it joined the ranks of all of my drivers (about 5). I usually hit an 11 or up. With your speed, a 9.5 should be PLENTY. Just remember to try the X flex or you may be whipping that driver everywhere.

stock stiff SQ shaft plays into X flex. not sure on exact frequency though...

 

PGA Pro friend of mine has 105 SS and his 10.5, yes 10.5* with stiff shaft fits him great.

Nothing really. It's an itch that needs to be scratched.

i'm a big fan of the ignite, especially now that i just got my 460 working. with a 105-110 swing speed the 9.5* is plenty of loft and a stiff shaft, maybe x-stiff. i would be concerned with the 4,000 rpm you are getting. you really want to be getting just under 3,000 rpm if you are using a 8.5* driver with a 105-110 swing speed.

10.5 in an NV65 - awesome combo and the NV will take a bunch of spin off the ball.

Thanks for the information everybody. Just as an FYI I am keeping my Ignite as a backup.
