Launch Monitor Analysis

How much does it cost ?$?$?$?

I went to a local golf retail store yesterday with the intentions of taking a couple dozen swings and get a launch monitor reading on my stats (clubhead speed, spin, launch angle, etc.). I asked the fellow at the counter how much they charged to let their machine read my swing. Here are the prices he gave me:

30 minutes = $50
60 minutes = $100

That seems awfully high to me. How much do you guys pay/charge for launch monitor analysis?

Yeah, that does seem a little high. At a local Golf Galaxy, the charge is $30 for 30 minutes on the launch monitor. The simulator is free. Simp

Cool. $30 is better. I will try the Golf Galaxy. Anyone else know of cheaper places?

It could runs from total FREE all the way to $400 for the whole bag fitting session.

I know a company out there who charge $400 to fit you from driver all the way down to your putter and took them around 4-6 hrs process.

Basically, The charges are depending on the knowledge of the operator and the amount of work they'll put up for you. At the end is the operator's motivation, whether he is just trying to give what you need or he is trying to sell you something.

Some guy who charge nothing/free might do a better fitting compare to a guy who charge $100. However, for someone who charge $100 don't care if he has to make a sale or not...so he will give you what his knowledge can give you best. How expensive the machine is not enough to make him or her a good fitter if he doesn't know what he is doing and what is he selling. Products knowledge are one of the key of a success fitting too. Basically, there are a lot of factors to consider.

So, To answer your questions is kind of subjective IMO.

At the local Golf Galaxy in Overland Park,Ks a driver fitting is $50 for the fitting.At my local independent clubfitter it is $20 an hour for the launch monitor including his reccomendations.

At my golf shop Golf USA we will give you a free fitting if you are in the market for a driver. We use the Golf Achiever system and its very accurate. Usally once you fit someone 90% of the time they need a diffrent driver. We find that the free fitting turns into a nice sell. If a guy comes in off the street and wants to use the launch monitor I will set him up and give him the results if i'm not real busy. We try to be real friendly. That turns into future business.

Let me think.... FREE I have a Vector Launch Monitor at my house. Most other places ar around $30.

Thanks for the replies. I wish I knew someone that would let me get on the monitor for free. I don't really need them to analyze, I think I could figure it out (or some of the experts here could help)

I actually work at a golf course, but it was about $4500 (cnd). It is f^$king sick! Zwitwoth... I would be more than happy to let you to use my Vector, but I think that distance/travel may be an issue. LOL In any event next time you are South Western Ontario drop me a line, and your more than welcome to get any data you need here! ;)
