KZG Forged II-M

these seem to have a cultish following....why?

I have searched on KZG irons over and over again and the one iron that seems to get the most comments of "been in the bag for 5 years..." "never gonna let these irons go..." seem to always be the KZG Forged II-M's??? Can anyone who plays them comment..... I have had a WTB out all over the net for a set of heads for 2 weeks now.... BUT I guess I want to know if they are worth really trying to get into the bag? Let me know your experience with these Forged II-M's. Thanks, JB

I had a set for about 5 years,3-pw,uw,sw of the satin IIms.Played for 6 months then used as backup occassionally for 4 years untill trading for a set of i302s simply for change sake. Bought used with only a few rounds then had them reshafted,spined,floed,with DNG S300 and D4 SW. They wear very well for forged. The irons do get somewhat larger in short irons but no big deal. Thin topline,little offset,and medium to thin soles compared ti many irons today.Very nice feel as one would expert and ample forgiveness. All in all a nice set of sticks that I would certainly play if I still had them. Be patient and you should find a nice used set for peanuts and change out the shafts if needed as I did. Unless I got a great deal I wouldn,t but new because I don,t keep any set of irons a long time and as you probably know the resale is bad.

I found a IIM 5i a couple of years ago when I was doing a serious search for a replacement for my worn out Hogan Channelback blades. I found this 5i to be very forgiving, but with enough feel to make me seriously consider them as blade replacements.

 

I ultimately didn't chose those clubs, but I can imagine these clubs having a strong following.
