Nike SQ DYMO

Nike SQ DYMO

- Dynamic Moment of Inertia:

All SQ DYMO and SQ DYMO² drivers are engineered from the ground up with the express purpose of optimizing the launch and spin by loft. Performance is maximized in every loft by varying multiple specifications from lie angle, to MOI and CG placement, to overall head size and face depth.

- Square or Round Geometry:

Square geometry is about straight and long, great sound, optimal launch by loft, and great looks. A new folded round geometry repositions square mass into a round format for workable distance and control. Two designs for the player that wants to "swing away."

- UST Wide Body Shaft Design with AXIV Core:

Ultra lightweight shaft power through speed and stability. A larger overall diameter throughout the body maintains shaft stability at impact. AXIV Core material in the tip section for power.

- New SQ Grips:

Designed for maximum grip on the top half, and fantastic feel on the bottom, these grips will give you control and power shot after shot.

Guess I'll be the first one on here for the DYMO. Nothing crazy, just the DYMO 9.5 with a stock stiff shaft.

I went to the local golf store to meet up with my brother to look at some golf bags for him. I ended up spotting the DYMO on display. I didn't even want to hit the DYMO, I was more interested in the DYMO2. But the salesman saw me looking at it and recommended that I take it out and hit it a few times.

Fast forward to the driving range, and my first impression was WOW. Even though this isn't the square model, this thing is tough to curve left or right. And did I mention that it is DEEP?!? The ball feels great off the clubface, and the sound is much improved over last year's models.

I don't see how the square version could be much straighter, but I haven't hit it yet. I am definitely going to give this a try when it warms up here in the Midwest. 5 stars from me.

Hit the round and square 9.5 stock stiff. Meh

I almost picked up a 5000 a couple of times last year, but it was the model with the Proto shaft.

Sound is better I guess, but the old aluminum-bat-hitting-rocks was sort of growing on me. :)

My swing is no work of art, but buying one of these drivers is no longer a thought in my head.

Maybe the Diablo :diablo:

i took one of these out to the range. and compared to my current driver (adams XTD pro with a GD throttle shaft ) this diver is just lacking. didnt really care for how it felt to hollow. didnt like how it performed hit really high with high spin as well just not that great of a driver i liked last years nike offerings better even though they where nothing special. i did hit and like a nike 5900 tour with a diamana white board 83x x flex though no matter how hard i tried it went straight.

but i just reshafted my driver to the throttle shaft and accomplished the same thing, and it is longer by quite a few yards.

I went to the fitter today, and found this be the best suit for me. I found it to be a very forgiving club. I hit a very low ball already, but this club helped me get it up to a better desired height. Feel was good, but I can deal with anything that finds fairways. I have never been a big fan of nike golf, but I am now. I'm really thinking about bagging one.

hi guys.

yeah, i´ve tried both dymo2 and dymo and find both extremely easy to hit and very long!

i tend to like the dymo2 better as it tends to keep me in the fairway more often.which is the one i got.

i play off hcp 4 and hit it around 280 yards in average.ss 102 mph, slow tempo. i chose a R flex.

i don´t find the s flex too whippy but if you do, Nike does offer a range of shafts to suit your swing.

they have a fittingsystem called 360 that allows you to compare different shafts in the same head.

hope this helped you.

have a great season!

I have played about 27 holes with the Dymo 9.5 stiff. I have not hit all of the 09 drivers but pretty much all the 08 versions out there. IMO this is one of the hottest heads that I have ever hit. The stock shaft is maybe a little tip soft but overall handles my 105 aggressive swing speed with no real problems. The ballflight is on par with what I think a 9.5 should play. It is lower than the 8.5 DYMO2 I demoed and pretty much on par flight wise as the R9. The DYMO is, for me, 10 yards on average longer than the R9 but when you catch one on the screw the DYMO flat out murders the ball. I picked this one up for $125 shipped and feel that was a steal.

The Dymo would be an awesome driver if there were more shaft options internationally... In Australia you get ONE just ONE and it's completely unsuitable for anyone that isn't a chopper or a girl... While I'm at it, it'd be nice if you could get the VR irons in anything but dynamic gold (so what if Tiger uses it). Not that I'm blaming Nike global, it's not their fault that the distributor here in Australia doesn't care about taking care of real players requirements...
