most forgiving driver for a 2 handicap

i want a good driver, but i need something that hits the balls far and is easy to hit...i have a 2 handicap and currently have a cleveland 460 launcher (the old school one and need something with a little more distance)

Titleist 905T. I'm a 3 hcp and have it. It's not exactally the longest driver out now, but it definately gets the job done in the shot shaping and accuracy department. I played in a tournament this past season and hit 14/18 fairways and I attribute that completely to the 905T. Another good long ball driver is the Ping G5 460cc. I don't have it, but have demoed it and loved it.

Maybe he wants to be a +2. Most of the PGA has moved to forgiving heads. ;)

 

There are a ton of new drivers out presently with a few interesting onces coming out. If you're a Cleveland fan you might want to wait for the Hi Bore to come out. Ive been hearing a lot of good things about it. There is also the Titleist 905R that you can order too. If you want to try an import, go ahead and get the Tourstage X Drive 435. Best darn driver I've hit in years.

I'll probably catch heat for this but TM R580XD. Forgiving, long, straight. If you don't mind the closed face......pretty cheap right now as well. I have one and have a Fuji SIX "X" in their and the sucker rocks!!!!!!

TM 580XD TP or Bridgestone J33R 460.

Both heads look like traditional at address and are very forgiving and long.

If you can get on a launch monitor then try as many as you can.

 

If you can't, buy a Ping G5. Get the right shaft/loft combination and you'll have the longest, most forgiving driver out there.

ditto on the g5 i'm a 6 and switched from the 905t to the g5 and i've picked up huge distance gains with little loss of accuracy

i would say try them all but don't forget about the new Nicklaus DPT460.

The 905T again. I have it and I produce a slight draw with consistencey and with the correct shaft, it is a BEAST! The driver is 20 yards longer with the purple ice than with the YS-6. The YS-6 wasn't a bad fit either! You just have to find the right shaft.
