which one is better

swing analysis software

I was originally was going to buy V1-Golf and then I heard about David Leadbetter Interactive. It sounds like David Leadbetter's program has V1-Golf intergrated but I did not know if it has the full blown version or a reduced version. Has anyone had experence with either or both systems to give me some advise as to which one is the best?

Most golfers on other forums really rave about the Leadbetter Interactive version. Apparnetly - you get the full blown V1 software AND more. I've never used it, but am planning on buying it this year.

You get hte full blown HOME edition of the software. The professional series retails for $900+. Read the fine print "you get the V1 software an $89.00 value". It would be great though...

I guess that was my question. The home version is only $39 the regular V1 is $89. I dd not know which version you got with Leadbetter. I knew you would not get the pro version.

I have both versions. I originally downloaded the free V1 Home trial version, and every month or so Interactive would send me an e-mail offering the upgrade for a progressively lower price. I finally bought the upgrade for $14.95.

The Leadbettor DVDs come with the V1 Golf version (retail $89.95). The main differences between the Home and Golf versions are a slightly different interface and the added tutorials/fault identifying in the Golf version. I actually prefer the Home version because it's simple, the video screens are bigger, and it's not so integrated with the Leadbettor tutorials. The Leadbettor Golf version has a tendancy to crash on me, I could probably fix it with an update or something. I could probably get used to it if I was motivated, but overall I wouldn't say it was worth $89.95 unless you were interested in the tutorials/fault identifying or the Leadbettor DVDs. Just my opinion.

Just bear in mind that what is one person's fault (i.e. Leadbettor) is sometimes another person's fundamental (i.e. Hardy).

That's a great point. There are a lot of schools of thought in terms of how a particular person feels is the "correct" way to swing a golf club. The danger or mixing and matching different philosophies can lead to a lot of frustration and confusion.

On another note I'm pretty eager to get a hold of Jim Hardy's DVD when it comes out. I've also heard he has DVD of a presentation he gave to a PGA seminar.
