Could have something to do with this since the agreement was "broken" early. Until this is cleared up....................article was taken from Golfweek.

Anthony Kim cuts ties with agent By REX HOGGARD

Senior Writer

Anthony Kim, winner of the Wachovia Championship two weeks ago and atop a group of rising young American players, has terminated his agreement with player manager Rocky Hambric seven months early.

In a letter sent to Hambric on May 6, just two days after his client’s runaway victory at Wachovia, Kim advised his Dallas-based agent of the termination.

“Earlier in the year he notified us he wasn’t going to renew his original agreement, but we all agreed to finish the year,” said Hambric, the president of Hambric Sports Management.

Hambric, who endured a similar split with Charles Howell III in 2002, has filed a lawsuit in Dallas seeking damages.

“It does hurt,” Hambric said. “But we had no alternative than to protect our rights under the agreement.”

Kim – who faded after a fast start at The Players, finishing tied for 42nd – is not playing this week’s AT&T Classic near Atlanta. He is signed to play next week’s Crowne Plaza Invitational and the Memorial Tournament.

Kim’s lawyer, Cleveland-based David Aggers, was not immediately available for comment.

He probably already has a new agent that is trying to get a rather large deal with Nike. Or maybe he's shopping around like most free agents would, trying to up the ante.

Nike has deeper pockets than anyone out there. Kim will re-sign with Nike.

Also, Nike needs Kim to carry the brand until Tiger returns and gets up to speed. But why not have two superstars. Twice as many magazine covers and twice as much airtime.

Exactly my thoughts, I think Kim is going to be a great move for Nike

Nike is known as the biggest club whores, the just give there stuff to everyone, think of all the players they have. Personally there are players they should give up, as much as I love the whole line up they coudl sacrafice a few guys for one player, Players like Chad Campbell, Carl Petterson, and most notable Stephan Ames. Stephan is the one who is supposed to pump up there Canadian market but truth be told, he isn't even born in Canada, and most Canadians are more fans of Weir not Ames. Ames is not the nicest person on tour, I have never seen a guy turn down so many autographs to little kids, he isnt a good embassador for Nike and they should switch there money to someone who is going to have a positive influence.

Kim is the best thing to happen to Nike since Tiger woods.

i would assume he's waiting for all the legal issues to be over. anything he signs while thats going on could be brought in to the case and his old agent may get some cash. not what he or his new agent wants. i bet he's already told nike that he's resigning with them. i don't think he would leave......he likes being around tiger to much and nike can pay him more in the long run than almost anyone else.....he could end up having his own brand with nike.

I have a really good feeling that Anthony wants to be the #1 player for whatever manufacturer he signs with. He will never be #1 at Nike for obvious reasons. I have a gut feeling that he could be the top player at TITLEIST. I know they have Scott, but Kim has a much brighter future and would really carry the brand. The clubs he would play would be similar. Forged blades-he already plays a Scotty Cameron. This just seems like a logical decision. What do you guys think?

I just dont see him leaving Nike..or Nike letting him go.

That been said Nike are not the sort of company to be held to ransom.

I know what Taylor Made offered him financially and Nike will not match atht up front.

They have a great incentives package though, plus Anthony likes the company it is not a money or nothing decision for him.

A bag only deal though...forget that..THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN

I think the two parties will come to a compromise that puts smiles on all thier faces.

Just my opinion, of course, but I don't rate Kim. From spending almost three full days inside the ropes and clubhouse with him over here it is immediately obvious that he is no Tiger. Their attitudes could not be more different.

Really? I think AK is one of the most exciting talents to emerge in the pro game since Woods himself.

Agreed 100%. Kim is a bonafide superstar now. He's headlining the Mercedes in Tiger's absence. I'll turn on a tournament just to see how he's doing. I wouldn't do that for any other player.

My guess is that he re-signs with Nike though. It looks like maybe Tiger and Kim have a budding friendship and Tiger was apparently a big influence on AK when he was younger. I'd think that might have some influence on his decision.

And I'm sure there won't be just a bag deal...that's not the way Nike does business.

From what I saw Kim has plenty of talent. But it takes much more than that. He is not on the same planet as Woods at the a similar age and I could find none of the tour players or caddies who thought Kim was a new Tiger.

No, Kim is not a new Tiger. Kim is still a young man with a world of talent, Tiger is a soulless golfing machine who is exceptionally talented. If you saw the Tee it up with Tiger clinic the differences in attitude were apparent. Tiger asks Kim to hit a draw, Kim does, when Tiger asks Kim to explain it, Kim is like "I just hit a draw". Kim doesn't seem to be wrapped up in all the mechanics, he goes out and plays...I find it refreshing. And Nike will most certainly make every attempt to resign him. Kim's appeal to the younger generation is great.

I think you dislike NIKE.... and besides that "Nike is known as the biggest club whores, the just give there stuff to everyone" I think you got that wrong. Replace the Nike with Titleist and the statement will be true!!!

AK's deal with NIKE was done with Rocky and the contract is in perpetuity which means Rocky collects the commission or a portion of it as long as AK continues to collect NIKE money. Any negotiation between AK and NIKE had mostly to do with Rocky not the company or AK. He will resign, he is probably just working out a payoff with Rocky first.

All companies push there stuff to everyone and anyone. Titleist is not the biggest club whore. Vokey wedges are in the bags of so many tour players because they choose to put them there. Scotty Camerons are in place because the tour player chooses to put it there. The ball is there because players choose it. (insert idiotic Callaway comment) I just don't understand all the hate towards different companies. Yes you can play whatever you want and like whatever you want-its just a matter of what works best for you and your game. Take this for what it is. Just stop the hating.

Appeal to the younger generation well i'm 16 and i think he is an arrogant son of a gun who is only in the sport to get rich and from what it looks like he is trying to do that with Nike (GET RICH). In golf i aspire to have a swing as nice as Fred Couples, Ball striking as good as Sergio, JB's distance, Putt like an inform John Daly and the attitude of Miguel Angel Jiminez & Poulter (to have fun) and in no way do i idolise Ak or does he appeal to me.

But Hey Maybe i'm just one of a kind.
