I can actually personally attest that Tiger Woods had a go with one of those drivers back in the late 90s. I saw it with my own eyes on the practice ground of an Open Championship. Not that I ever saw anyone else actually using one...

I just sold my 52 purespin wedge earlier this year. It never did quite spin like in the infomercials, but I still hit alot of good 115-120 yard shots with it. I just realized something. I'm attracted to flops. I've owned a bunch of these different ones people are talking about.

Guys the EASY Winner of this is the[b] Adams Ovation 3 driver[/b].

The 65 gram ALDILA proto in that thing (coulda been 60 not sure) was the biggest piece of garbage ever thrown in a driver head. Those things snapped at the hosel about 30 percent of the time from what i have since read. This was a "Dicks Sporting Goods exclusive" release from maybe 3 years ago. I bought one and snapped it maybe the 5th swing at the range. Returned it the day after i bought it, replaced it with a new one. took IT out 2 days later. SNAP! After much discussion with this "pro shop" employee who did not yet shave, They finally just gave me my money back. This only after i was treated like [i]I [/i]did something wrong.

I later went to write a review of this excessively long paper weight on their website and there were at least 10 others with remarkably similar stories. If memory serves one story was so close to my experience i had to check if in my rage i hadn't already left a review! Alas it was not I. Adams and aldila should both be mortified there names were on this shoe horn. What a disaster!

Aside from the C4, I'm going to caution a vote for the bobby jones hybrids, not that I'm dismissing them, but I saw so much money going into marketing but wonder how well it sold?

Gotta disagree on that one. I know quite a few people that still game these. I've had zing stainless, followed by Zing BeCu's in the bag now for over 15 years. Can't find anything better.

Have to disagree on the Ping Doc . I've used the Doc 15 (not the big 17) for a few years now. Playing partners always complain about the ball going in the hole.
