One Putt Blunder and I are playing Southern Dunes Monday January 26th early...around 8 or 9 hopefully..........I still need to book it...should be around 75 bucks....

69$ for the round. tee times were wide open as of this morning. I just wanted to make sure they didnt have a tourney or anything on that day.

Man, I'd really like to take my brother down there, but I just cant swing it right now. approx $150 is a tad too steep. What time is your tee-time? Maybe I can find a deal on golfnow haha.

So Ive heard man, and its definately on my list of places to play. He wants to play Ahwatukee CC so he can kick my a** at my home course(playing Friday), then Ive got a buddy who gets us on to Camelback CC for $10 so we're playing there on Thursday, and then we grew up playing at Maryvale so we're playing there on Sunday for nostalgic purposes. I'll holler at him and see what he says. You guys might whoop us up though haha. He's a 5 and Im up to at an "official" 7.9 now. Do you walk or ride?

As far as me beating you (I cant speak for Medicapitain on this) But I have been all over the place in the last few weeks one week I'm in the 70's and the next a 85 pops up out of nowhere :russian_roulette: . My index is at a 6.5 right now and going the wrong way.

I recently started to walk some more rounds and really enjoy it but most of the time cart it is. most places I play are usually not walker friendly

 

Oh and you better not let your brother beat you on your home track.

Unfortunately (and it shows) I ride.

 

I am a 2.7......except when I play the GCAT events where I seriously fold under pressure and blow a big number up so far....

 

I shot a 69 yesterday at Legend Trail, a 73 at Palm Valley the day AFTER the GCAT event where I blew out a flustered/angry 82, 75 at Palmer and 74 at Faldo (Wildfire) Sunday and then a gorgeous 80 at Vistancia today.

 

sooo, in other words...who the $%^& knows what I am going to shoot, and it doesnt really matter, I am just looking to play SD for the first time.

Haha, I'll be PISSED if he beats me on my home track! I'm not gving away any of the local knowledge hahaha.

 

I'd really like to start playing with some better guys, I think it seriously helps your game to play with better guys. I tend to play alot of solo golf and end up getting stuck with some total hackers. Cool people and very friendly, but, ya know what I mean.

 

If we cant make it down this time then we'll have to try some other time. Alot of times we play Camelback and its just 2 of us, so you know, 2 spaces available and $10 is an AMAZING deal for that course.

 

And if you guys ever want to hack around Ahwatukee CC, I get the member discount....

I dont think I have played either golf course....maaaybe Awhatukee when I first moved here...Im game a few days a week...weekends are usually "family time" even though we dont have kids...gotta keep the whiff happy ya know

yeah I hear you. Camelback has 2 courses, Indian Bend and Padre, Padre being the better of the 2. Ahwatukee CC isnt nice at all really but its close to my house and I got a great deal so I play there 5 days a week(if not more!)

 

I usually play Camelback on Mon or Thursdays, I'll PM you the next time we go. My two friends that I play with are really cool guys

Southern Dunes is a fun course for sure. I wish I could sky out of work and join you but...

 

SD seems to be an ideal walking course, but in the two times I've played it, I saw NOBODY walking. This may be because of the public access, may have been different when it was a members course.

Says the guy who is going to be forced to carry a nice pretty pink purse on the course if he keeps leaving his putts halfway to the hole. :D

 

Anyways they just discounted the rate to 59.99 and the last 2 spots are still open if anyone wants to join us.

 

Oh and Pat its going to be 70* and sunny here on monday :tongue: Ill stop by an Ice Rink and shovel some snow just so I can know how you feel.

You should know how I feel, because since the snow on the ground means I can't hit a fairway, I know how *you* feel....lol....
