How many pairs of golf shoes do you wear? (POLL)

In the winter, I only wear one pair. When it's dry, I'll probably rotate 3 or 4 pairs.

i own 2 and rotate depending on what color belt i am wearing:

i have 9 pairs from oldest to newest as follows:

1. etonic difference 2000(all white)
2. etonic ultimate goretex 2000(black and white saddle)
3. bite golf sandals(black and sand)
4. nike air max TW(black and cordovan)
5. footjoy comfort(black)
6. ecco casual hydromax saddle(brown and white)
7. nike air max rejuvenate(white)
8. adidas tour 360 II(black w/grey stripes)
9. adidas powerband 2.0(black and white with lime stripes)

my last three were bought within the last 3 months and very comfortable when walking due to their hi-tech soles and insoles..

i use my darker ones when it's muddy or inclement weather..

due to a recurring heel problem i only use the older ones when i ride a cart although no.2 also has great waterproofing qualities..

no.1 is really comfortable and i have had it re-soled already as the uppers are still in great shape..

since i have quite a few to choose from none of them are really that well used...

Discounting the couple of pairs of Adidas Langers I wore as a youngster and a couple of pairs of old DryJoys that I finally retired, all of which are in my garage, I've got four pairs that see current service.

My favourites are a pair of white FootJoy Classics (plain toe, all-white saddles) that I picked up something like 15 years ago and which are still going strong and looking good. I've also got a pair of all-black Nike TW shoes that I bought about six years ago which are a nice, contemporary-styled shoe (if a bit square toed) but which aren't brilliant when it's wet as the lace/tongue design is a bit weak and lets in water if you start traipsing about in long grass. Then there's a newer pair of black Nikes, SP8 TWs I think, which I picked up a couple of years ago for black shoe days when the sun isn't shining. Only this last week I tracked down and stumped up for a second pair of Classics in the same style as my old faithfuls but in black.

I'm also picking up a fifth pair, some all-white tumbled leather, plain toe, saddle design FootJoy Icons next week. I'm still not sure that the Icons will top a pair of proper leather-soled, Good Year welted Classics but I know a few people who wear them and they're all saying good things about them.

All told, that lot should see me right for a few more years.

This may be on the wrong page, but since we are talking about shoes and you all seem to have a lot of them i thought i would ask a question.

Can anyone recommend a good pair of extra wide shoes? I have been stuck to 1 pair that fit decent but are getting uncomfortable so i would like to get a pair that fits me correctly. It is hard to go into a store and ask for say a 10 extra wide because they do not stock extra wides. so if you have suggestions or any help that would be great.

If you need something WIDE...I can tell you that Adidas is not for you, they are super narrow(Tour 360 LTD

at least). I'd try some NIKEs, I'm not sure if they have EXTRA WIDE, but their WIDE is really WIDE IMO. 10W or even a 10.5W.

i usually wear one pair at a time LOL but i have 3 that i use in rotation 2 pair of tw sp-8 and some tw 2009 but i actually have 5 pair in total

i have 6 pairs of footjoys that i rotate. three pairs of classics dry premiere ( i wear these during practice) and three pairs of icon asymetrical that i wear during tournaments.

the icons are a better shoe by far.

I rotate 2 pair. I have a pair of Etonic Dri-XC that I wear on a regular basis (range and regular rounds) and then for tournament rounds I have a pair of Footjoy Dryjoys.

10 pair of which I am always rotating in new ones. I fully subscribe to the idea of using multiple different pair in order to prolong their life. After 26 years in the Military, my father always told me to take care of your feet otherwise you will be miserable. I will take his word for it.

After reading most of the thread I guess I'm in the minority. I have ONE pair in my rotation. I buy them new and then I wear them and when they wear out I buy a new pair. It sounds crazy but then I'm a little crazy.

too bad i have like 70 pairs of sneakers(30ish jordans, 10ish kg's and random other sneakers) but only 1 pair of golf shoe atm but just about purchasing a pair of tour 360 3.0 or adipure

I have 4 pairs of golf shoes in my regular rotation. 3 of which are Nike TW's and the other pair are the new all white w/carbon fiber heel FJ Sports

 

In a perfect world I'd have a couple more to have all of the color combinations down..

I have 3 pairs I play in (FJ Dryjoys, Adidas 360's, and Nike TW-8) and one pair that I only use for practice as they are a bit beat up (older FJ Dryjoys). Dryjoys are my favorite.
