What is everyone going to buy?

its that time of year that I like to start thinking of the "free" money soon to be recieved from tax returns. This year I have decided to stimulate the economy by buying golf equipment! My list includes:

FT-9 I-Mix
Squareback

Whats is on everyone elses shopping list for 2009?

Unfortunately its not that year...most of us have great gear already and are more immune to the marketing machine than ever. This return should be used for saving and greens fees mostly but not much golf purchases unless something breaks...

Mine will turn into a couple months worth of student loan payments... Boring I know.

First off I already have new stuff which is good because I have a one man business and just paid my corporate stuff now I have to pay even more tax over and above what is already been put in personally. If your not in business for yourself you don,t realize how big a % is paid even on moderate income. Makes one wonder why bother except for that abundant free time to golf after many years . Sorry I don,t come here to see the word TAX and I got on a rant,LOL. In regards to your post why don,t you buy something over and above what you usually would .

i'm set w/ equipment. i need to save up for my daughter's one year b-day $4,000 and pay property taxes with any residual. :(

Mine is going towards engagement ring and wedding!! Not fun I know....but.....

Player's club pass @ local course. Probably a used 3-wood with a decent shaft. Maybe reshaft the Rapture. Maybe Lessons??

i spent my entire (pending) return on golf:

 

- two 5-day trips to Florida in February

- 1 mizuno hybrid and 2 vokey wedges

- 1 pair of Puma Swing GTX's

- 6 dozen AAAAA pro v1xs from LGB

- mizuno water and wind proof jacket

- built a 10foot putting/chipping green in my bedroom

- 5 JL shirts

- a few H&M pants/tops

 

the good news is that i did all of that at massively discounted prices thanks to ebay, BST, the local dollar store, and JetBlue!

Mine is going back to the engagement ring fund. I had to depleat it since the econemy is in the tank, and I have been unemployed for the past 5 months. Finally got a new job, so I will be saving to buy all the goodies just in time for the warm weather!

Since my wife and I just got married in December I know what all of you gents are going through right now.

 

I believe ours is going to our mortgage so that we can recoup some of the equity that has gone into the tank...

Yeah I know its the Brides Family that is traditionally paying for it, but the father is a Realtor and lost some cash flow....I don't mind I mean, I get to set a limit...kinda...LOL...thanks guys

Well I will be sending a check to Uncle Sam (as usual). But I'm happy Congress won't be using my $ to re-sod the Washington Mall or condoms.

I don't figure for a large tax return, but my plan is to get a new driver and maybe a golf pass to one of the local courses. Hopefully there will be enough left over to purchase a round trip plane ticket to Washington DC. I'm going to ask congress for a bailout so I can further stimulate the economy. :good:

We're putting up a fence & the rest will go for my son's 1st Birthday in April, I think we're going to do a week at Disney or Seaworld!

I got a new baby boy coming in May, so you would think that i will buying baby clothes and furniture. I WILL BE BUYING HIS FIRST GOLF SET, SPIKES, POLOS, AND MAYBE EVEN HIM A NEW RANGEFINDER........GOT TO GET THEM STARTED EARLY!!

My freedom - my smallest student loan is toast!!! Only 400 payments and the big loan is paid off. :-)
