I wasn't going to post the link here, but the photobucket link has the actual link to the FLV file. You can figure out how to download it from knowing that....

Here's a little more detail for you junkies...

Parse the URL in your browser to this format: http://vid*****.flv

Hit enter

A save file window should pop up...save it

To watch it in all of its frame by frame glory open the file with V1 (the home version is free) or a similar flv media player.

GREAT FOOTAGE. Thanks for posting that link Darius! have heard about this but never knew where to get it. what year is this footage? (edit * my bad 1956)

did you guys notice hogan's 9-3 at 1:30 (time remaining)? he seemed to be well into his right foot, left foot really bent towards right and rear swung out at the top . like the trebuchet motion Shawn Clem references. hips moved targetward quite abit and went down hard on the left in transition - alot of targetward lean by the lower body well before impact.

amazingly dynamic swing.

This relaxed looking swing comes from his address technique.

Hogan gripped the club in the last two fingers of his left hand, and at address he had no tension in his arms or shoulders.

It is a good time to present something to watch - one of the greatests footages of Hogan ever filmed:

Enjoy !

The cigarette in mouth, high waisted baggy trousers, the hat, the buttoned up shirt and that swing... classic footage.

I wonder if that cigarette was a swing aid. I read somewhere he could hit balls and not lose his burned ash off the end. Did it remind him to stay smooth or serve as an aiming point for his shoulders?

It is a footage filmed by father of one of YouTube participants, PaseoDelnardo who was so gracious to put it for public viewing first. Then, the film became unavailable on YouTube for unknown reasons - found the link on another forum to MediaPhotobucket site where it is still available to see...

Cheers

Fernando had the video up on youtube for about a month before he realized how valuable it was. Then he took it down and I believe copywrited it.

I know for a fact that someone did email him telling him how valuable it was. It was not me. I don't know this person, but I know his swing coach. Great footage, I also enjoy it.

What's also amazing about Hogan's 9-3 at 1:30 is the acute angle of the left forearm & shaft while his hands are barely above his waist. The hands have moved a few inches but the club head has moved 180*. It's mesmerizing to watch.

Thx for the vid

Hogan and Knudson make the most unique and sweet move from impact to finish and I am honestly struggling to describe it .. "a smooth post up" or ??

Really only noticeable in the DTL angles
