The M1 and M2 tour are very similar size-wise. The M2 tour is just deeper face than the M1.

I have the SZ 3 and 5 woods and the are crazy left side inclined for me. I do like the launch and length though. I ended up adding just under 8 grams to each head to get it more neutral to fade biased. After that it’s been $. And I really dig the looks at setup, strange because I have never care for the Cally profile

Funny i had the SZ driver and 3 wood and my miss was always hard left as well. Picked up and M2 with a Tensei last night and dispersion was much better. trying really hard to take the left side out of play with everything. You can talk to a fade but a hook wont listen right?

I have modus 120TX in my MP-54's and testing modus 125X in my MP-5's. First time I hit full shots in sim after my rotator cuff surgery I used the 8 iron 120TX/54's for a little forgiveness, but more recently used the 6 iron 125X/5's. 75-80% swing just as long as pre-surgery, but I think the 120's are a little easier on the body with the softer butt. I went from steelfiber 125X to the modus 120TX and didn't notice a big difference in shock. May end up with 120TX in my 5's, or just play the 54's til I get stronger. Interested to hear more on the Fuji's.

They are shinier. :pimp:

The only reason i regret going with them is id like to have a 46 degree so all 4 wedges are the same. I didnt have the SM6 long and it was when they first dropped so other than above i am useless

Okay, rehab bag is going to look like this:

Epic GBB - Diamana PM Proto or Atmos Black 7tx

Epic SZ - Atmos Black 8tx (could possibly see an M1 here)

TM 770 3 iron - Fuji Pro Tour Spec (possibly a UDI 3 here)

TM 750 4-PW - Fuji Pro Tour Spec

TM MG 50, 55, 60 - Fuji MCI Mild

Scotty 009

Other than the 3 wood and utility iron - this is what I'm going with for the time being. I hope the graphite helps me on the course and performs well, I should have everything built up late next week and hope to put them in play as soon as possible. The 750's look and feel great, very impressed with TM on this year's lineup.

Calling first things to go are the wedges. Cool bag, great that your back playing.

Why? I've hit them a few times, they seem good, what am I missing? I have my Vokey SM6 v-grinds I can use as well.

Although i would like to put a satin finish on mine. I think this gets overblown a bit. Its never been bad enough it actually affected a shot for me. i notice it and move on. Pure did you try anything else other than the Fuji's.

Tai, what is your prognosis? Are you fully cleared to exercise, golf, etc.? I have seen some of these injuries become easily re-aggravated with just minor acute trauma, and I'd had to see you injure it again. Building an entire set because you are not back to normal is just a little concerning.

What Qmany said. I only played 2 rounds with the shop demos and maybe it was just bad timing but I literally had a hard time telling face angle playing touch shots around the greens. There are ways around that I'm sure, and it might have just been really bright. I did like the grinds, wasn't actually looking for a new set though.

Recoils and Steelfibers. Posted more about it above. But the Fuji's felt the best and the numbers were in the acceptable range.

Yeah, I am cleared to basically do everything that I can handle, it's just basically getting all the supporting "golf muscles" back in shape and the scar tissue down. My arm has basically been lethargic for 3 months or so and it's just starting to get stronger. The bone that was broken was removed completely, so injuring that again is out of the equation. My club speed in the driver got up to 123 in my last LM session, so that's not the issue. The issue is impact with the ground and turning through the shot without feeling like I'm going to jar my wrist, it's also part mental with me being scared to fully commit. I figure the graphite will also help me mentally, but more importantly will take a lot of the vibration out of the shots and impact and make it easier on me till I'm 100%.

I'm definitely at a different stage with golf right now.. 12 rounds in for the year, forced time off, baby, job, family commitments have re-focused my priorities. I still love golf and tinkering with equipment, I just don't have the time or care as much as I used to. Golf and life is definitely a journey, and I have come to intersections with both at the same time :)

You only got up to 123? And your cool with that?

Bag looks solid, interested like the others to hear some reviews on the graphite shafts after you get some rounds in. I don't think you can go wrong with the M1 or M2 fairways, I prefer both over the Epics.

What happened with the X7M?

Lol, I thought the 123 shots was a fluke till I hit the exact same shot on #5 at Dove - I had 60 in, closest I've been in probably 200+ rounds there. If the lead tape on the toe doesn't work on the SZ, I'm going M1 since it's adjustable. Other than that left tendency I like the ball flight, distance, and forgiveness.. but left isn't a good miss for me. X7M got cold a while back and I sold it. I'll keep this thread updated with the reviews of the new stuff.. lots of moving pieces :)

Cool stuff. I didnt know there is a mild/solid wedge shaft of the mci. That thing must be jdm right?

Regarding being scared to commit fully, I can relate to that. I broke my fibula two years ago and if took almost half a year before I could fully go at stuff again. I mean I could play before, but I always subconsciously took pressure of the leg in order to protect it. I hope your recovery is going well and that you are back to full health again soon :)

We will have to compare notes on the Fuji's, I skipped the Tour Spec version though. Should be here tomorrow.

Reading comments above on the TM wedges and having spent time practicing short game into a setting sun with chrome wedges, I worry for you. Bothered me so much yesterday that I'm looking at some other wedges.

I actually like the performance of MG over the SM6's! Like I mentioned in every thread about the MG's, their is no better performing wedge out imo. The glare is just ridiculous! I play 98% of my rounds in the daylight, plus I've been playing a lot of rounds on courses with white sand this year.

Can certainly give it a try and see how it turns out. Doesn't happen too much on the course but man, when it does, it is blinding to the point where I can't even see the golf ball at address.

My entire set is going to be lighter than what I'm used to, that's kind of the point if you've been reading :) I'm just trying not to sacrifice performance while making it easier on my joints.

I heard another finish is set to come out, I've used them on the course, the glare was bad one time, but the others it was fine. I guess it just depends on a lot of factors, I'll know quickly if I can deal with it or not.

Anyone compare the TM Milled Grinds vs. SM6?

A lot more glare, and I just could not get the MG’s to work without custom grinding the soles, I am pretty disappointed with the limited lofts and bounce options.

What lofts/grinds were you playing in the SM6 and what did you try in the MG. I have the 90 day return thing at my local shop so I can return these if need be. I'll probably take them out to the course before shafting them with the Fuji's.

In the SM6 I have gone to the 58 with 4 degrees of bounce L grind, bent to 59 and have been very happy. I read that bounce article on the front page this week about the tour players using more bounce then people think, but for my game and how open I like to set the face on flops I just cant get a high bounce wedge to give me the results and confidence I need. The ATV grind from TM was the best of the bunch in my mind for my game. But as Vokey has shown there are a lot of different looks and feels that players want in their wedges.

Hope the MG’s perform for you and u don’t have to jump back and forth with the wedges!

Personally, I've found the MG wedges to be great all around performers. I have the 50, 54 and 58 in SB. I think they frame the ball great at address, feel nice and have an excellent turf interaction. The glare can be a bit annoying depending on certain face angles, but I personally have VERY rarely if at all, found it to be a problem.

I would second steelfibers. They will be in my 718s when i order them. They are better than steel shafts
