going to woodlake resort n.c.

i am going to woodlake resort in north carolina for 3-4 days in late march. golf is part of the package. the resort itself has three courses, the palmer, maples, the carolina(palmer). they also offer tobacco road. does anyone know anything about this place or these courses? i would appreciate your feedback before i make my tee times.

The Maples course there at the resort is old school and a nice track. The Palmer course there was not quite finished and up to par when I was there last spring but a good lay out.

The Carolina and Tobacco Road are must plays. There is another thread about Tobacco and the Carolina is a great Palmer course in the area.

If you can only play 3 I would go with Maples, The Carolina, and Tobacco Road. When you get to Tobacco and you see this giant in the club house named Chris tell him Craig from Golf Galaxy said hey and you want the royal treatment...........

thanks, i have 5 tee times, maybe i should play the carolina twice. maples/palmer once, and save tobacco for the last day. i have not played in over three months, i need to shake the rust off. i want to start on the easiest course, could you tellme which one that is?

woodlake is a relly nice track.. I played the Maples course. It is a great place to knock off some rust. Wind comming off the lake is nice. Also be sure to stop by the Half way house after the ninth to get a hot dog (the 9th doesn't return back to the clubhouse)... The guy at the gate house is very helpful and gives you directions to the club house. I was treated very well there.

Tobacco and Tot Hill Farms are awesome as well.

I had a chance to play these this past January.
